| BHPian | The much hyped bike from Bajaj was launched on 9th September 2007 at an ex-showroom price of just Rs 41,000! ![]() Bajaj have really shocked everyone with a 100cc segment pricing for a 125cc bike. The USP ofcourse seems to be the fuel economy, which is 109kmpl under standard test conditions. The bike comes loaded with great features like alloy wheels, digital instrumentation, LED tail lamps and a lot more! ![]() You may see more on the bike and its specifications at Bajaj XCD 125 |

| Senior - BHPian | Another 125cc......Looks like a famished pulsar running without food for days. Not appealing at all. What happened to all the "banda" that Bajaj was saying that they are exiting the sub 200cc bikes? |

| Actually they were exiting the 100cc segment and this is the product Bajaj believes would do the trick. If it succeeds then the 125cc segment would become the next commuter segment and 150cc segment would be termed as the executive commuter segment and that should have a cascading effect on rest of the segments as well. Which in turn means, higher capacity motorcycles. |

| Looks okay considering the products it is competing with. Fuel efficiency is huge. Lets see what it delivers on the road. Can Bajaj take the fight to Splendor finally? This has to be the make or break model in the segment for Bajaj. |

The Bajaj XCD 125 has now been judged as the Bike of the Year, 2008 by not just one but three different juries. Looks like the 100cc segment will be given a run for its money. source: TOI: dated: 14/01/2008

However the XCD has become a very common sight on the road within a short time. Another sales success for Bajaj, i think.
