He he, its already a 2 seater. You need to remove the cowl to make room for the pillion. If BAL wants to launch it to the masses, single seater's are not going to set sales charts on fire.

Recently I saw the interview of Rajiv Bajaj on cnbc and he was specifically asked about the Ninja and the KTM's and he replied that the first shipment is already enroute to India and that it had departed from Japan.
this means that these launching models will be cbu's ( just my assumption, as they can be sku also ) but I saw the interview myself so am sure about the shipment part.
Now can anyone who keeps a keen eye on the group in Pune get some further info on this.

Now that is one hawwwt motorcycle! A Ninja green is definitely on the wishlist if the pricing is reasonable.

I believe there is no need to remove the cowl. the rear seat is in body color and there is no cowl. see the previous pictures on this thread. body color rear seat gives impression of a single seater.

Exactly what I said earlier Check the strap on the rear seat too. It doesn't look like a cowl at all. A green coloured seat.

EEKS exactly what I feel for the color of the seat . Why do we need a green seat? Eco friendly ?

Hahaha Probably this is localisation done by Bajaj

I hope Bajaj has put the green thing for display purpose only. If not then they should give an option to change to black. Thats what the pics of the international version show...

I am also one waiting for a bike in the 250cc range and this is good news though the final price might be a decider. Are they taking any bookings yet?

Thats one great looking baby Ninja. However, from my experience the pictures do not show a bike true personality. Need to see it in person to see how much it grows on you. I had great expectations from R15 and when i saw it in person, it was a disappointment ( too small for my height)

If this grows on me, i am also in the list of buyers and it will be a green color for me

I've ridden a 250R, I think they are very fun bikes. Pretty quick too - they will top out at about 110 mph. The riding position is not aggressive like a race bike, so you can ride the 250R on long trips without getting sore wrists, etc. Over here in the USA, the 250R costs about $3800.

I had mailed the manager at the Pro-biking showroom in Pune regarding the price and waiting period of the new 220. Also, asked him about information on the Kawasaki Ninja 250. This is what the reply was on the Ninja:

"The official launching of Kawasaki Ninja is sometime during 2nd half of Oct."

Response from the probiking showroom in Mangalore was "Launch will be during the last week of October. We will contact you as soon as it is launched."
No clue on the pricing though! If it is anything below 2.5 lakhs, I will be a customer

I actually thought about getting a Ninja 250R as a second bike, maybe for my girlfriend to ride. They are great.
