Those of you that get the Ninja 250 are really going to love it. I'm thinking of getting one myself as a second bike.

Any more than 2L, the Ninja's pushing it. For 3L, I'd much rather get a clean import. A 400 (decently available below 3) would run rings around a Ninja 250, with the only downside being maintenance (which I could live with).

That being said, at 2-ish on-road, the baby Ninja would be incredible VFM. I just might consider going back to Bajaj....at least for the handling, if not for anything else.

Well, well, well! The cats finally out of the bag. Bajaj to launch the baby Ninja on Oct 5 priced between 1.5 to 2L. Here's hoping and the link. Bajaj's Kawasaki Ninja 250R launch on Oct 5.

Can't wait to see the bike in metal.

3.2 lacs on road means only one thing. No localization, or am I missing something?

@400kph - thanks for the link.

A decent 400 for less than 3..this i have to see! At around 2.7 lacs( which im sure is wht the price is going to be) and performance like a 0-100 in less than 7 seconds and a top speed of about 160 km/h coupled with easy availability of spares i find it pretty decent value. The international price is 4000 $ which is about 2 lakh.

Strange! Looks like rediff has moved the link. The article mentioned a 5th October launch date and the prices were in the 1.5 to 2L range. I think they have taken the text from BSM.

Thats right, what Rahul Bajaj said is only about the launch date being first week of October and nothing about the price. Its just the speculation from Bu-St.
