^^Aerostar is the standard helmet which is provided by the Dealer with the bike, its mandatory to provide one to get the resgistration done.

And if I'm not mistaken, the Aerostar is an ISI certified helmet, isn't it? So what is the this whole issue of it being a "local" helmet?

Cheers,

Jay

It did not look new. The paint had chipped off in places.

As far as I could see... it was an old one and a bike like that certainly warrants a better helmet. I haven't used an Aerostar helmet, so my judgment might be misplaced.

Yes, Aerostar is ISI marked, but still its a complete misfit for a bike like Ninja. That guy might be one of the employee of Dealer who must be rinding the bike to take it to or fro from one of the Probiking showroom.

Hi Sheshagiri

The machine is very capable of doing the trip minus the fairing, if you are able to remove the fairing and ride then i think it should be ok. Also note one bottom point on the chassis of the bike is the lowest part on the bike, despite of removing the fairing i feel this part is still very low and will scrape.

PS- Guys, Bajaj has started selling accessories for the bike, the first of which is the rear seat cowl, i have got one for my green baby and she looks awesome, will post the pictures soon.

Cheers

Some guy took the intruder and an R1 to Leh, so it is not big deal.

For the ground clearance you could install protective plates for the lowest points.

I heard the exhaust note today morning, when we went to probiking showroom to check out a friend's Ninja. It is sweet

Nothing at low rpms, but when you open the throttle, you can hear and tell that it is a twin cylinder engine. The ninja owners here would explain better.

Yeah! ^^
Way to go.
I mean you know the feel you get when you hear a heavy breather like an R1 or
GSX 1300R Suzuki Hayabusa come from behind or overtake you. Will we get a distinct note to recognise the Ninja. From the reply it looks positive.

Red face

Hi Price_Perverz

It sounds sweets on rpm's in excess of 8k, it has a distinctive sound however not anywhere those in-line 4 cylinder behemoths.

i keep getting requests from passer-bys to rev it to hear the sound and then they provide their feedback usually " Awaaz mein dum nahin, kya fayda " then i tell them 3 lakh mein you expect the sound of a 13 lakh rupee bike. I guess the most of them dont understand the reason why it sounds different than the big bro's. I had no idea how it would sound until i got the delivery of my baby, but at the back of my mind i knew what its going to sound like.

Thought of upgrading the can with a VALE slip-on but most of these guys tell me it just makes the bike sound loud but also makes it sound rough, i would not want to compromise on the sweet sound of the bike to something rough. There are few guys on this forum who have changed the exhausts, can anyone provide their honest feedback on the output.

@ Sheshagiri

The seat cowl is costing 4k and all the best for your bike.

Its a twin and you can never expect roar of an inline 4 from it.
i havent heard it,but someone who has heard it in person tells that at low revs its nothing to talk about.
