Default Anybody having idea about 2003 Machismo

Hi, friends I am planning to buy a 2003 4 gear Machismo with left side brake version. The bike is in good condition with only 6500 km on the odo. The owner is from the same locality. For last 4 years it was serviced by a single mechanic who has certified that the bull functions fine. The owner is asking 50k,subject to burgain. Papers are ok. My query is what is the market feedback about this model? Shd I go for it if I can burgain it down to around 40k? Though mileage is not of much importance the Mach returns 44kmpl, mechanis says. Pl advise, friends. Thanks,

Purne.. 2003 Machismo is a good bike, guess you can bargain a bit. you might have to check the battery but i gues rest you will learn. you might have to do a re runin as the bike has clocked only 6500 kms.
Change the oils, and be easy for about 1000 kms. good luck

dont know how to explain this, but the 350 is more fun to ride than the 500.

500 is killer.. leave the 350 aside, with a k&n, and an exhaust it would really kick up. u can get upto 26bhp out of a machismo 500... my standard 350 is @ 24horses bro...
the price should not be a penny more than 45k that too cause it a 500
and does it have spokes or alloys?

as for the mileage on the mach. 500 - don't expect anything over 30. 30's the upper limit

Don't expect any thump from 500LB. But torque... it has more than what you need. And of course faster than the other versions. (As per reviews of few friends who've done Leh this year on LB500, it is a monster)
But here your usage and requirements don't point at 500LB. I doubt, what you need is a CI heavy crank 500.
Reasons why I think so are...
(1) You want to possess one and feel the ride.
(2) Only 200km ride per month
(3) Speed is not the concern (This case even a CI heavy crank 350cc will be fine for you)
(4) The so called thump is available only with the CI engines.
(5) High gear low speed running is not possible with the Al engines or the lighter crank ones.
