I have been consistently getting an average of 47-49 kmpl on my Wego. This is tankful to tankful method, has run 2500 kms and is one year old. Most of running is in the city traffic to and from office(20 kms two way) and to the market and back sometimes. I am very pleased with the mileage I get.

That is some really good FE that you are extracting from the Wego. Kudos to you! The general mileage figures in peak B'lore traffic (got from my colleagues) is in the range of 42-44kmpl.

Does it not have a heat sheild? I noticed that even motorbikes have heat sheild nowadays.

There is a heat shield, but the tip sticks out like a sore thumb. The exhaust is angled in a way that it gets wider till the end. My leg hurts so badly. Now I have developed a exhaust-o-phobia.

Wow, thats amazing and I was quitely thinking that Activa mileage of 49 kmpl was the best anybody could get. I got this consistently on two tank fulls.
What are you guys putting in your Wego's? Liquid Steroids.

I wanted to share news that I got from my son that the Activa is now being delivered within a month, and Access in a couple of days.

This is in Hyderabad, by the way. It looks like Honda has finally woken up.

And Wegos are off the shelf, still.

Team,

I am in the market for a scooter. I am inclined towards the HONDA DIO. On Road price in PUNE is 51K.

Is this the right choice or should i go for access ?

The dealer attitude here in PUNE is pathetic. Kareedni hai to kareed nahi tho niklo. They are quoting 25 days waiting period for white color.

Please advise.

Pls go through a few of the above threads. Honda Dio has issues of hot exhaust touching the legs, dont know if the new one too is prone.

How about Honda Activa or Wego? Bhpians are getting amazing mileage with Wego. Have you taken the test ride of Access or Dio or any other scooters?

Dio is like youth bike, so inclined towards dio. It is not available for test drive. :-(
I like the looks of the new dio. But the dealer attitude is making me look else where.
The height of wego is low, I have driven this.

Haven't driven the access yet.

Hit a personal record yesterday of getting the max mileage out of my Wego.

Some points to note:
1) Only premium petrol used.
2) 80% highway (Pune Bangalore highway) driving in the range of 40 to 45 kmph. Nothing more, nothing less.

I also faced the same problem with the dealer attitude, hence did not book a Honda. Did you also go to the Yash Honda dealer?
Then I went to the TVS showroom and got the Wego. Its strange that you felt the height of Wego is low, as my wifey complains of its high seating. I am myself 6'3", and I find the height of Wego to be okayish.

WOW!!! Thats an awesome mileage from the Wego. I have this strong feeling, the Wego is turning out to be the next Maruti of Gearless scooters, with the amazing mileage. The key is to retain the speed at 50 or less in the city. You get good average.

Regarding height, not felt this too. My BIL is 6.3, he finds it okay too.

Hi friends

I am actually in search of a new gear less scooter for my sister. She is been using Dio for the past 3 years. Some years back there were no much options, so no confusions. But the situations isn't that way today.

So as usual forum pals help me out!!

Options considered:
1. Wego- Seems to be the best. But do not know. Please help
2. New Dio- Looks good to me. But again a dio or what.
3. Activa- overall ok.
4. Suzuki swish/ Bajaj Mastro ( No much idea about these products)

Priorities:
1) Should be easy to use in the traffic ( Slightly of low weight is an added advantage)
2) Good suspension. So no body pain.
2) Reasonable mileage
3)Good service.
