Get the HMSI Activa. But before purchasing, go and see how the situation is at the service station, particularly in the morning when people come to drop off their vehicles for service. The service stations haven't really been upgraded to deal with the amount of vehicles HMSI has sold, and therefore the service is poor.

Another better option is to find a private garage that services Activa; and after the free services get it serviced there. It is not like Activa needs a lot of attention, just oil change, topping of battery and cleaning/replacement of air filter. No biggie.

Same applies for even Bajaj or HH i feel.
Service stations are just choco-block with vehicles every morning.

How is the Kinetic Xing folks ?

I agree with SuperSyn...get the free servicing done frm the dealer and then search for a good authorized garage cus the dealers dont really bother to pay full attention to the problems and the problem carries on. You can also visit one of the Castrol bike zones. I hear their service is good

I suggest you gave for Bajaj Wave DTSi. I got one for my wife. She drives 40 k.m. to and fro on the highway, 5 days a week. Gives a mileage of 45 plus. Much better than Active, I feel. Also decent price - 37K. It'll be one year old in December. So far, no problems. I found it quite good.

best mileage is kinetic 4s.

Default Expert advice on gearless scooter purchase

Hi Guys,

Need your expert advice on which gearless scooter to go for. This is for my wife. Criteria

1. Easy to handle
2. Decent mileage
3. Travel distance max 15 km/day
4. Good after sale service
5. Occationally I'd ride it too.
6. Budget around 45k

I am looking at a choice between Activa, Nova, Pleasure, Blaze etc. Do let me know the best one to go for.

Thanks in advance

It really boils down to a choice between the Activa and the Dio, given your criteria.

Activa - Cheaper than Dio & easier to maintain as it has all metal body panels so can be dented\painted unlike Dio which has fiber parts which can only be replaced

Dio - great looks but has plastic part also has fixed headlamp so no light at turns although not much of a problem but could be for some, also more expensive than Activa, might gie slightly more mileag due to lesser weight

HH Pleasure - Good option if buying for a lady as this one is the feminine of the lot & has the same Honda engine, the others are unisex so can be ridden by all

Blaze - I am not sure but I belive this would be out of you budget almost 10k more than the rest above, very powerfull also a bit tall to ride. Being a Kinetic product Service could be dicey

My Vote goes for Activa

Hope this helps

alternatively you can consider the scooty pep, if your missus is petite & prefers lighter vehicles. otherwise the activa is better than the dio for a lady.

Another option for you is bajaj wave
It has the bajaj DTSi engine so good mileage and also the parts are cheaper

Blaze for sure. its a bit over your budget but you can stretch your budget a bit, cant you? others really are no comparison to Blaze.

else, see the nova 135. zippy, great storage. activa is popular but theres really nothing special about it
