aargee: I'm actually tempted to go for the "Rodeo". But not sure how it would perform in the long run. We have ac couple of activa's & dio's in the family but I've had a chance to ride a Rodeo.

Anybody using "Rodeo". What are your thoughts? Is it worth a buy?

President: I do like the Activa & it's a tested machine & it has proved itself always. Only thing which bothers me is the waiting time.

Also had another query. My dad was an ex-serviceman in the Air Force, so I have an option of buying from the "CSD". How does this work? I have never bought a bike from the "CSD" before?

It would make a lot of difference in terms of pricing i suppose...

Looks up reviews for Kinetic FLYTE. Rodeo is the Flyte with a new name. its a great handling scooter with smooth engine but if you want that last kilometer of milaaage then Honda it is.

first go to CSD and ask them what scooters are on their list. They wont have everything.

My nova's engine got screwed at 32k kms. Got almost half engine replaced. Now it runs like a brand new nova .
I use to rip the scooter, I use to challenge my friends driving pulsars to catch me in traffic if they can. It has great pickup compared to other scooters in its class. Though it use to give me a mileage of 25kmpl, I use to enjoy the ride.

Thanks Mpower, I'll go check out the models that they have in CSD. Mileage is not an issue. Can live with around 30+ i guess.

You can get Aviator at around 49k without disc brake and alloy wheels.

The engine is the same one currently doing its duty in Activa. 0-60 kmph in 10.5 sec with a city FE of 50 kmpl. The engine is super refined and ultra smooth without any vibrations.

If you do not have any color preference, try at different Honda dealers. You may get on the spot sometimes.

@DJJEBS
Have you seen this - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...-kms-odo.html?

Just as a thought (at the odd hours) - What's your thought on Hero Honda Pleasure?

I got mine for 51K on road ex navi mumbai for the drum brake version. It was only Rs 700 more than the Activa, so considering that it has telescopic front suspension and a larger front wheel I feel its a better scooter than the Activa. Also IMHO it does not looks as 'girly' as the Activa. Not to mention it currently has half the waiting time than an Activa.

@djjebs

I bought a Honda Aviator (Drum) from Silicon Honda yesterday. The have ready stock for the Drum version. You might want to check them out.

It is arguably the best scooter available in India right now.
I researched for almost 4 months with over a dozen test rides and numerous reviews before deciding to buy this beauty.

All the best!

The paint on my mom's maroon Activa is peeling off. I have noticed many other maroon activa's whose paint is peeling off too. It happens only with maroon Activa's. There is a layer of grey paint beneath the original color. I think soon my maroon Activa will turn into a grey Activa.
