So a price tag of approximately 2 lakhs in India for a CKD/ SKD unit is a definite possibility.
Remember that the 250R is fuel injected in Europe. In the US its not, to keep the cost down.

I am not sure about the launch of the Ninja 250, but Yamaha R15 is definitely gonna be launched soon.

But again, the sample set of TBhp or even for that matter xBhp is too less for these companies to produce bikes for. In the end the manufacturers want to make money and the best way is to introduce more commuter bikes. We, Indians want all the SBKs in the world, but at the end of the day still crave for FE.

I have a 2.5 yr old P180. Was thinking of adding some mods and a fresh pair of tyres etc. But would also like to consider the R15. Given that I plan to buy my 1st car in the next 3 months, I am finding it tough to convince my GF that I need a new bike.

Reasonably sure. Sources : some good ones on some bikers fora. No word on prices, but my gut feel is it'll be pegged below 2 ex showroom.

Even if the Kwacker comes for 2L OTR, I am in for it. The service back-up will be with Bajaj for sure, unless Kawasaki thing otherwise and set shop on their own, the likelihood of which is fairly less.

The current autocar issue has all the details of the new r15,It looks nice and compact,Theres a pic of the R1 and the R15 face to face and the former looks just like a smaller replica of its big engined brother.Im sure all are aware of the specs.Read a lot of reviews for the 08 250 kwacker and most of them were positive. But since most of the comparisons were with comet 250 which was actually a no contest.Lets hope for the best.

I would like to see it compared side by side to a CBR 250 RR. I owned a CBR 250 at one point and it was one helluva beast. I think the CBR 250 is a discontinued model now.

Here's my friend with his Yamaha TZR in Spain. Believe it or not, that bike is just 50cc!! Makes me sad about living in India.

I've seen pics of the R15 and it seems like the bike has a 3" rear tyre! People who've seen it in flesh please confirm/deny this.
