The R-15 does have a rear disc brake. And even I think it will be priced around 90k (ex-showroom)

If it is your insanity, i enjoy it.

Is is a hydraulic disc brake then?

I called the Yamaha here, he told me booking has started and that he has 23 bookings. Delivery will be in July end or June first week.

I am very tempted to book one and sell my 180.

AFAIK all disc brakes are hydraulic, the only two different types are the ones with a booster, like in cars and the ones without a booster, as in bikes.

I think all disc brake bikes run on a Hydraulic braking system. Its just means an fluid is used to move the rotor to touch the pads. I dont see boosters in bikes, So you can actually brake when the engine is not running. In cars after the brakes loose the vaccum, the engine has to be running to brake.

I wont believe the video and rumors until I see for myself. All what I can say is that this bike has the potential to revive Yamaha name in India. I hope they get serious and live up to the name and fame of the legends RX100 and RD350.
