Chennai XBhp'ians seem to have conducted a drag session with 2 R15s, 1 P220 & 1 ZMA (with K&N). Sadly, R15 finished last with different combinations of riders, and was about 15 bike lengths behind the ZMA, and about 18 bike lengths behind the P220.

However, everyone seems to have fallen in love with the handling!

Saw a few here today. Looked good from a distance, but the tire seems too skinny and ruins the overall front impression. Didn't see the rear though!

That's interesting, but dosen't the R15 beat the other 2 on top speed? So does that mean that say, for a Chennai - Bangalore trip, the R15 is the faster mode of transport?

Yamaha would be giving out 200+ R15's today (previously booked)
@ Garuda Mall at about 4pm. that's a lot of R 15's guess it will become as common as the pulsars and auto's in Blore.

it would take less time for one to reach Chennai from Banglore than the time it would take by flight, coz of traffic and distance to reach the airport.

Killer what do you feel about the drag racing part? Is it slower than the other two? Kind of hard to believe when i think about the power and power to weight figures.

Cant say without having been there. Though i dont expect a stock R15 to take out a P220, i somehow cant digest it being so far behind. Heres another video someone posted -

Let me get the bike, i'll check and see

Sridharj - Get the R 15 ,dont look further unless the ninja is launched. Regarding the jackets and stuffs, you DON'T get it FREE with the R 15 but you can pay through your nose and get it from your dealer. There was this so called Jacket for display for some 3.5K and it felt pretty cheap to me. The R 15 genuine accessories brochure had come ,along with the price list. The add ons are very subtle and attractive but the prices are

Wish they made the rear some thing similar to the 2008 YZF 125R .The new YZF 125R looks like a mini R6.

the tires are really thin and ruin the overall show of the bike.
I did not expect the kza or 220 to out drag the r15,sad

Smile R15 has arrived

My baby was delivered yesterday (30th June 1900hrs) at Panache Enterprises, Bangalore and it is simply amazing. The handling is superb, the ride smooth and the performance outstanding. If you think I'm kidding here's an example, I gave driving my car to ride this bike. Ofcourse I have people stopping besides me at signals and asking me "mileage kithna" and the story goes on. I'm very happy.
