The tyres on the R15 do look very puny..... but now I'm really waiting for the detailed engine specs of the FZ and the R15......

Tires are 80 front and 100 rear, just right for 15bhp. Anything more will be over tyred. BTW they are tubeless on 17s

Hehe funny i find myself responding to this on almost every forum. This is a 140+kph bike (already tested on the chennai circuit), faster than anything we have right now and power is 20bhp+ at this time. Yamaha arent quoting final figures yet because some work is still going into the bike before they do that (hoepfully they dont detune). The final machine which will come out in June this year will still be faster than anything we have at the moment.

In fact i'll venture to say this, pit a Stock indian RD350 against this machine on our tracks and i'll bet the R15 will come out the winner. Thats the kind of overall performace we're talking here. Some people are laughing at yamaha releasing this 150cc 4 stroke claiming its a performance bike and what not, i mean how badass can it be right? well all i can say is they have no idea

What would Yamaha have done to produce 20+bhp from a 150cc, and something with BAL or TVS or HH cannot copy? /have not done? I am all for this, if this is really true, i wish it is

Have any of you noticed in the above link it is mentioned as SOHC and at the same time it is 4 valves. Is it possible? Atleast I couldnt figure it out how it is possible. May be the valves are in a straight line!
