Even though I won't be buying one, I'm going to be very happy when they launch it.

The American bike has a carburettor. We will be getting the FI version.

There will be very few people willing to spend 2L on a bike in India IMHO.

Forget the specs, looks like the launch itself is only speculation at this stage.

Maybe but its not a 24 yr old design or 24yr old technology.

The Kwacker 250 is rated the best sportbike under 500cc in the US and is the largest selling bike in the US. Check YouTube vids on the new 2008 250.

Also please read its reviews.

The last news was Second half of 08. We are in the 2nd half of 08.

Also since this is coming from Thailand as a CKD, where we have a trade agreement, duty is less. So on road price should be little over 2L.

All things said and done, the Baby ninja is said to come only after 50% localisation of parts is achieved.

It would be a real sad thing to see bajaj stuff and the legendary bajaj quality playing havoc on this bike.

That would probably be the excellent Kawasaki Vulcan VN900 classic or custom. I prefer the classic. Outstanding vehicle and in my opinion one that should have been launched along with the Duke. The KTM would cater to a different audience and the Vulcan to a totally different one. The Vulcan 900 is outright the best cruiser in the world in its class and is the CHEAPEST in price - best value for money. Whats more, these jokers can get the Kit from Thailand at lower costs because of the Free Trade Agreement. Vulcan is probably the only cruiser of the Jap stable produced outside Japan - golden opportunity. But Bajaj is moving so damn slowly its becoming PAINFULL. They want to get rid of all their 220's and 200's in stock before the launch the ninja i think.........

In one of the previous editions of the Overdrive show on CNBC TV-18, Mr. Sirish Chandran has predicted the Ninja to be priced around 1.4 lacs ex-showroom.

He is an auto-journo and his source of information could be somebody from Bajaj. But I take this piece of information with a pinch of salt. IMHO, the price could be close to 1.7 lacs ex-showroom or even more. But if Sirish is right and Bajaj back up the bike well, Ninja will sell. I'd be in line to buy one

Launch date around Diwali is another news doing the rounds in biking circuits.
