yes the 2005 pulsars both 150 and 180 come with alloy wheels...

FE
Pulsar 150 DTSi - 55kmpl
Pulsar 180 DTSi - 40kmpl

About the unicorns FE i cannot say because i've never ridden one and none of my friends have it either....but i expect it to be more than the pulsar 150.

Thumbs up

I have done abt 2300 kms on my unicorn and it is way better than the 150dtsi in terms of engine refinement and gear shift quality..

my friend sold his 150dtsi as the bajaj guys could not fix the rattling noise of the engine..

Unicorn looks aint bad and u will surely forgive it for the overall package u get with it.

150dtsi is gud but unicorn is the best in its segment so far..

Mileage varies b/w 43(worst) and 72(best) and the average so far is abt 49kmpl..i test the bike sometimes mind u!

have u tried the 2005 model pulsar 150.Unicorn is definately a very good vehicle but it is bland compared to the new pulsar and lacks in VFM by far.

Decent average quality alloys come from 2500 onwards .
Check out with Bajaj dealerships , how much are they quoting for the Pulsar alloys, My guess is it will be between 2500-3500 without tyres
I think ZMA alloys costed abt 7000

this is for all you guys-
1)power, performance, handling, value for money-and the award goes to.. pulsar 180 dts-i
2)pose value, looks, best equipment, forgiving nature, chassis, brakes- hh karizma
3)value for money, least running costs, spares availability, best performance in segment- pulsar 150 dts-i
4) resale value, refinement, fuel efficiency, suspension, maintenance-free nature- honda unicorn
and those, my lads, are the undisputed, public-opinionated, actual rankings, each having it's own u.s.p;
so, get your priorities straight, and choose: but let me tell you this- whatever the choice may be, you simply won't go wrong, and more importantly, you won't regret your choice- at least in this segment...
and rishi, the fuel efficiency depends 80% on riding habits. i own a 180 dts-i too, and he gives me about 40-41 kmpl- i operate my engine in the 7000 - 9500 rpm revband, most of the time.
ciao

after all the debating and thinking i think ill go for the new pulsar 180 dtsi.its got good looks good , good performance ,decent mileage and overall i think it beats the 150 and the unicorn (basiically becasue it is in a higher category) but i feel the best buy at this point of time for my needs would be the 180 dtsi.so here comes my pulsar !!

Talking Tiring Talk!!!

I'm sure the bike will be a stunner with an upsized tyre...but thats for a person without his eye on FE!!
I recently bought a 150/50 17" Bridgestone from Chor Bazaar which will be retrofitted onto a 2002 Pulsar 150 for my friend......the tyre is beautiful...amazing tread....sexy profile, unlike the billions of Pulsars and CBZees we see with a massive thick high profile 15" Eliminator tyre.......
The objective for a thick tyre is to make your bike look like a Big bore racer.....getting just a thick tyre will not do it.....these guys need to get the profile right.........the Bridgestone profile looks awesome on the new Pulsar alloys......will post pics once the bike is complete......also on the bike is a monoshock from......you guessed it.....The Hero Honda Unicorn!!
