Unhappy DIO refusing to start

As the monsoons has arrived so has the problem in my scooter.

Since the last 4-5 days i ve been trying to start my scooter (self/kick)
it turns on for a few seconds and then coughs up and turns off.

I ve even tried using the choke ,but that has no effect whatsoever.
I got it serviced a month and a half ago (including de-carbonisation and engine flushing).

I ve got my ride for a little over 3 years and done around 8.5k Kms. on it, but ve never faced such a problem.

Also, when I took it out for a ride it turns off immediately as soon as I let the accelerator go.To avoid that I had to use the rear brake and little throttle simultaneously at signals or at nakas.

Please help.Thanks.

check if the hose from the air filter is connected to the carb correctly.

Better show it to service advisor, could be related to fuel lines/carb.

Fine as a workaround, but not good in long run. Better adjust idling.

Clear Air filter, overhaul the carb and things should be fine.
Also after three years, although short of official spark plug change interval, changing sparkplug will be a good thing to do.

I got my DIO fixed.spark plug was changed and fuel lines were

also checked.the oil gasket was damaged so it was changed.

It cost me 100/- for the gasket but they charged me 350/- labour

charge for replacing it.Does it really cost so much.

Yes Honda dealers often put up four figure repair bills for scooters. A friend had to cough up Rs 2100/- to get his 4 year old Dio in usable condition after some rough and tough times the machine had faced.
