Hi guys,
i am a proud owner of the RTR 160 08' version.
I am thinking of replacing the rear tyre of my bike as i think it sucks...:Frustrati

Please suggest some good tyres. i am thinking of tubless ones.
Also i dont mind softer compound as i am looking for good grip without sacrificing a lot on FE.

Stock - 100/80 R-18

MRF Zapper 110/0 R-18 Rs.1900
For tubless valve extra Rs.150

Which other tyres are available.

you can also look ut Dunlop Geocruiser Its same size as Stock & is softer than stock. Price is under 1k

pirelli sport demon. its on the expensive side. but you cant compare that with ANY indian tire.

Renamo do you know any shop who stocks Pirelli SD in Bangalore as recentry searched a lot but no sign and dont want Michelin as they done have the size what i am looking for i.e. 100/90, 3.25x18, 3.5x18 and 3.75x18.
Sorry Viky to hijack you thread.

Pirelli SD will have a significant impact on pick up & FE as its a heavy tire

I am not too sure abt Pirelli SD being heavier than MRF. Its the other way around. @techno, Have you used it, or someone suggested that its heavier? because I have, and I could not find any other tire (Indian make) to compare to SD performance. naturally its on the expensive side as these are imported. @ajay, Thirumala agencies in Bangalore used to have these, as was quite a few other shops in JC road. Since I do not have a bike any more for sometime, I haven't bought one recently. Or check with Mumbai friends. but finding a front tire for the same brand was a challenge. But its worth the pain if you manage to get it. especially if you have a RD. I assume you have RD from the tire size you are looking for.

Renamo, the Pirelli SD is heavy. A friend bought it to use it on the rear of his drag RD but he ended up using the MRF because the PSDs were much heavier.

thanks guys,
today i checked out the dunlop geo cruiser 120/80/R 18 for Rs.1750 with tube.100/90 is also available.

Which would be better size 100/90 or 120/80

Which would be better Zapper Q or Dunlop Geo Cruiser

I dont want to sacrifice on pickup and FE!!! but want much better grip than stock TVS 100/80 are they just dance on wet surface.
Please reply soon as tomorrow i am going for a new tyre...please:

regards vikram..:).
