Well, it's a "naked" bike, remember? So, as a rule it will have exposed engine and frame. No fairings or stuff.

Hey guys you could check this link : FZ-16 Special Website - India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. -

looking at the R15's all India price tag, lets hope they have a similar pricing for FZ16 also. That would mean an OTR of about 75k in Blr which I feel is pretty good

There is all the information about the bike, except the price,

the rear rubbers looks huge, is that required for a 150 cc machine?

As I said I am taking nothing away from the bike. Its a revolutionary effort by Yamaha no question on it but its looks too powerful for its engine.

140/60.....well its not the '140' that I'm worried about, its the '60' that worries me! Such a low profile will translate into more rim bends/comfort/etc! But thats all speculation, lets really see how it feels on road.

With the kind of audience that Yammy seems to be interested in targeting, I don't think we should expect it to be too much of a fire breather. We have its cousin the R15 to do all the fire breathing.

Anyone else think that Yamaha makes great looking, strong bikes for India but somehow manages to kill them by using underpowered tiny engines?

Enticer anyone ?

This bike might end up like another enticer

There is an update on the bike at Yamaha Motors Pvt Ltd, they have started a specific site for this bike and the link to which is available at the home page - but its not working as of now. Should be ready by the day end I suppose.

Yeah - this bike looks killer but the manufacturer has persisted with a puny engine.

I guess they think ALL SHOW & NO GO will sell in India.

And guess what - they may well be right. That american manufacturer of pumpsets on wheels may do very well here if they bring down their "creations".

Is any mag doing a road test ? Odd that none of them have gone for it so far - usually they are falling over each other whenever a new bike is about to hit the roads ?

I think they would go the Pulsar way..launch with 150 cc and then keep adding bigger cc engines to the same bikes...becoz both bikes look like they can take larger engines without major changes.
