Anyone who has been at RE's stall at the expo can you please give us updates?

Cheers.
These new colors are for international markets.

The two new color schemes of Classic 500 have been unveiled, green and Chrome/Red combination. Green is only for the US market. RE also unveiled a cafe racer concept.

Aah that's a shame. I know we cannot legally have the military green color in India but the matt finish is just superb!. I am not a fan of the red+chrome look. The finish is good but it definitely is not my cup of tea.

I have never seen scuff marks on the outside of the sleeve so I wont say it's normal. Send a email to RE customer service and speak to your local RE engineer. They should sort it out for you ASAP.

One more like 50 Kmph legal road speed limit for 2 wheels! Any similar restrictions to Deep blue (state police) & white (traffics cops/ navy) colors?
Pic from Auto expo2010 thread. Matt finish is so lovely on retros.

i have already booked a Classic 500 and should get the delivery by the end of January. The colour i ordered is green.
After looking at the Matt finish military green revealed at auto expo 2010 (which unfortunately is only for export), i plan to get my classic painted to a similar colour and finish. Now the questions are:

* Is it legal to paint a motorcycle Matt finish- military green, in India?
* if no, where can i get a decent paint job done in Bangalore?
* reliability/ type and make of the paint?
* how much will it cost?

anyone with any suggestions??

Scuff marks are abnormal. Put your warranty to good use.

I have never seen any new bike with marks like that. I guess it needs attention. Do check with other new users of classic if it is a one off problem

Nope, no such marks at all.

Get it checked pronto.

PS: Anyone going in for the Classic should be prepared for a seat change. The original ones have left me with a terrible backache.

Default Bike put on hold by the company!

Hi guys,

I was supposed to take delivery of Classic 500 (Black) today but yesterday I got a phone call from the dealership (Navyug Motors, Jallandhar, PB) that my bike has been placed on hold by the company and I wont be able to take delivery of the bike on time and that they will contact me sometime today to update me on when I would be able to take delivery on it!

Anyone else experiencing this at the moment? I wonder if the dealership didn't just sell my bike to another buyer and is now making me wait for the next one. In any case its not like I have any choice.

Hmmm, its possible that they sold it off to someone else.

If you want to check, ask them to show you the booking receipt and check it out with RE.

Congrats on the purchase! Great to see more 500s on the road.

PS: They might be waiting for the new map before handing it out. So maybe its an actual delay. Ask Randhawa about the status of the remap.

I had similar experience on the first 2 days. It was because of the riding position and not the seat. Handle-bar is low and one has to bend. I adjusted handle bar. Foot pegs are positioned perfectly for my height(172cm). Just check with knee and back positioned at 90 degrees, you will love it. On long rides butt-burns still inevitable.
