What do mean wacked?!
When i went with the problem the service guy told me its a common problem with the classic and the standards and just let it be, nothing would happen and that you cant adjust it!

LOL typical answer. When they cant adjust simple things or understand the cause then thats the reply they like to give you. If I can adjust it then anyone can.

That is a simple adjustment. I had it fixed in my II service. Dhruva which service station's reply was that ? It may be a common problem, but a minor one. After it was fixed I have done several long tours it has never happened again.

For any problems/service I am taking it to
Mehboob Garage
31/1 Nandidurga Road
J.C. Nagar
Bangalore - 560 006
Telephone: +91 - 80 - 23436682
Contact Person: Mr. Syed Firoz

An authorised service station and a very nice guy. I stay in RT Nagar and this place is nearby. I got II service done by him, he corrected the fork sleeve problem. Very busy service center but he will listen to you patiently. After few days my bike's engine had developed some kind of a humming sound, and it was difficult to convince some of the junior folks at this garage but Syed Firoz patiently observed and identified the problem as Randhwa had pointed out it was slightly misplaced primary drive chain. It required a minor adjustment. He corrected it free of charge.

Now thats a coincidence!
I too got mine fixed there today, and did it for free. He told me i could get the free services done with him, also its close to my place too. Seems like a nice person.

Btw were you by any chance charged extra by the dealer in the name of PDI?

now that's an interesting comment. you mean you were charged over and above the on-road price? how much did you pay the dealer exactly?

if rs.555 more than the ON-ROAD cost then you have an issue that you need to take up seriously. but if its over the invoice then in my opinion its does not matter.

happy riding!

Basically it turns out to be the same, ie over the on road price. I have paid Rs.555 more that whats been accounted for.

oh ok, so you have been charged more than the on-road price. and not the invoice price that you have stated earlier.

and nandish and rajitn, congrats on the new purchase. looking forward to your experiences and wish you both happy riding.
