/\/\/\ Cheers...

So now the waiting period is 8 months. The way things are going it may soon be 1 year.

i got mine in 1.5 months but then totalled it and had to wait 3 more months due to non-availability of spares. So effectively waited for 5 months.

Isnt PDI supposed to be PART of the ON road price?? Its Pre-Delivery Inspection...right ???..Why dont u tell the guys at RE that the bikes are additionally being inspected for PDI even at the dealer for which the customer is being charged....

I have visited the factory adn have seen a PDI happenning even on the plant..so why are the bikes being inspected so many times when they arent being dismantled..or rebuilt..etc...

just a thought....

So i thought, but apparently its chargeable to the customer and not included in the basic price of the bike. The thing is that i had not been informed about it, and only when i asked them they said that i would be given a debit note for that amount, charges towards oil, fuel etc.

The company, by default, rolls it out with the straight silencer. They recommend the change to upswept after 2-3k km.

The default silencer is one that looks like a Rocket launcher. But this one is the short bottle silencer. Its different.

Yes, they are different; I was referring to difference between the bent and the straight type.

Hi , I am planning to get a cl 500 in the next month or 2. Could one of the owners who have bought the bike very recently give me an actual picture of the waiting period for it. Is it actually 6 to 8 months ?? I have made up my mind about the 500 as I used to own a Ci500, for me the 350 just wont do so its either the 500 or nothing. Is the waiting period lesser in chennai ?? Please shed some light on this regard .. Thank you.

I enquired about the waiting period on Saturday in Hyderabad.

Black - 6 months
Green/Red - 1 year

I would really really like the 500cc engine on a different body, Electra, Machismo, etc.
