Philips Vision Plus / X-Treme Power bulbs in Chennai for Avenger

Hi guys,

I have decided to fit a new Philips X-Treme Power bulb to my Avenger 200. The HID which I had purchased for 2.6k gave me lots of trouble - it kept turning off after 15 mins or use and refused to turn on. After keeping it off for a while, it would again work for a while. I got the electrician to remove the HID kit and have now gone back to factory wiring. He installed a new Philips H4 bulb, but didn't tell me which one. The light is a bit bluish, but the light throw even on low beam is terrible. I can't see a thing if there is a vehicle coming in the opposite direction with his high beam on. Visibility is terrible.

Hence I have decided to go for Philips X-Treme Power H4. I surfed the net and found that PowerBulbs - Upgrade Car Bulbs - Headlight Bulbs - Xenon Bulbs from Philips and Osram, including Philips Xtreme Power and Osram NightBreaker globes. (UK based site with free delivery worldwide) has the entire range of Philips bulbs available with an excellent deal on the Philips Vision Plus - buy one pair and get one pair free. Plus a set of Blue Vision side light bulbs is being given free for any purchase above 10 GBP. The price of the Vision Plus / X-Treme Power comes to around 23 GBP, which is about 1500-1600 bucks in INR. But, the deal on the Vision Plus is superb as I get 4 bulbs for the price of 2.

I tried but am unable to get either of these Philips bulbs in Chennai. Most
of the places seem to have only Crystal Vision or Diamond Vision.

Hence, Chennai BHPians, please let me know if there is any shop I can contact for these bulbs. I would prefer to buy them here if available rather than ordering from overseas, which comes to almost double the price. I hear that X-Treme Power should cost around INR 800/- per pair.

Kindly advise at the earliest as I would like to have the bulb in my Avenger 200 changed asap.

I bought a pair of Phillips Xtreme Power bulbs for 850bucks, here in Trivandrum. If it's available here it should definitely be available there.

Which shops did you check? Most probably car accessory shops, isn't it?
I bought it from a spare parts shop Swaraj Automobiles, Killipalam. I don't know if they have it now. I saw only one box when i went.

Where else would I look
I'm at my wits end following up with an accessories dealer who claimed to get me a pair of crystal visions. Anyway, I might be swapping HL assemblies ( if all goes well ) with that of the indigo. in that case I'm planning to go for Xtreme Power for the High beam!

Guys can I get the Phillips Xtreme Power fitted onto my bullet Electra??
What I would like to know is that would i need to make any sort off modifications to the Wiring or the Dome in which the bulb is fitted??

It's Xtreme power +80 55/60W. As far far as i know, Xtreme Power doesn't come in 90/100W rating.

Hmm I posted the message to know the names of some shops in Chennai where I can get these bulbs but the topic seems to be shifting to shops in Trivandrum and Bangalore !!

Anyway no big deal.

Chennai BHPians - any ideas on shop names / locations where I can get these bulbs in Chennai ? Contact numbers would be helpful too.

And yes - Vision Plus and X-Treme Power bulbs are available only in 55/60W. Need to change the bulbs urgently guys, as night driving on my way back from office everyday is terrible in terms of visibility. So please do hurry up with your inputs. Otherwise I would be forced to spend double and order it online and wait for 7-10 days for the bulbs to reach me.

There's one new shop(Gautam decors) opened before the Good Year Alloys & Tyre shop in North Usman Road. If you come from Panagal park/Saravana stores take the straight road which goes to Kodambakkam Bridge where you can find this shop on left hand side. Or else simple try GP road!

I dont know about the base of Suzuki Zeus's bulb base. I think its P43t. I want a 55/60W bulb.
Now the bulb mentioned here, namely Xtreme, does it come in that base ?
If yes, what is the approximate cost ?
