Hi vinay,

just saw your post. I refer to the crash guards like the one i have on my bike. you can see the post above. they should be freely available in almost every bike shop worth its salt. JC road?

@Chanderjeet: your bike is one of those rare ones that makes the onlooker let out a long sigh that sounds a lot like WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.

I want to know if Electric start can be fitted without major modifications.
No. Better to search electra 5S+self+disc

Thanks for the info and advice.

But Electra 5s is not available and also it has normal gear shift (LHS). I was fascinated by the STD 350 not only for its 'Thump' but also for the RHS Gear with neutral finder. I think I will better stick to my CL 350 booking.

Diehard Bullet fans say kickstarting the STD 350 once you've mastered the 'art' is piece of cake. Is it a piece of cake like HH Splendor?

Well for one thing the battery on a bike with ES and without ES is different.
So the charging system will also be different.

And starting the bike once you have the hang of it is easier than starting the HH Splendour.
But sometimes very rarely when tired or not paying attention, the kick back can occur and hurt you.

Congratulation Man,
I adviced for electra 5S because I want to hear these words from you. I also have same sentiments for Std 350.
It is not just better but the best to stick on Std. 350.
Actullay adding power start to any is expensive and in my personal openion can create further problem because it is dircetly related carnk shaft/ fly wheel. Untill or unless we know the mechanic/ Work shop & job carried out by them we should not go for any body/ chasis modification.

I never felt so. Untill the battery is having enough charge 350 goes start eaisly but if battery is dead there is a problem to start it. But what ever it is, its never a piece of cake (Bike differetiate a man from a child).
Why there is a waiting period? As far as i know, RE has stopped production of all CI engines. The piece should be ready.

I am a great fan of Royal Enfield and I own 2001 model Bullet Electra. For the past 3 to 4 year I am unable to use my bike on a regular basis. I feel I am not doing justice to my bike and I neither want to sell it. Now I am planning to use it at least twice a week for morning/evening rides.

Once I clean it, shall upload the pictures.

My 1978 Bullet 350. If I don't ride her on a particular day, I feel something amiss!!! I am planning to take her down South soon.
