From a safety point of view, don't you think this is downright dangerous ?! A rear impact would spell catastrophe with the fuel laden cans !!

The guy has a 22l tank.
With an average milage of say 25 kmpl, fully loaded. He still has a range of 500 kms with 2 liters to spare.

The only place I can think of when he needs the extra fuel is in regions so deserted that there is no bunk for 300+ kms.
Such places ideally have no traffic to rear end.

@ NIP, I guess your question has been answered.

I plan to do a route which will have no bunk for around 800km. So that is where I will need it.

I remember that you brought a new STD350 a few months back. Is this the same one?

Well that explains it. Great looking bikes you guys have there !! I'm hoping to own a bullet someday, targeting 2011 to do a major ride also. Lets see where it goes.

Many congratulations for LIGHTNING. Please tell us the story (either on this thread or start a new one). Have you got the Owner’s Manual with bike?

Imho , the factory default seat ain't the best. Long rides can sore up the bottom. Check out Randhawa's thread; there's some seat mods being put to test by nasirkaka.

And i think it is the camera angle that makes the alloy look bent !
