| After dreaming for 5 years, pestering random Bullet owners to sell their bikes, scouting the narrow by-lanes of Shivajinagar (Bangalore), Hosur, Chennai, Mysore, bugging good friends with Bullets to sell theirs, I finally found my match! I bought a 2000 model Standard 350 just a few days ago! Here's the only picture of her for the moment! ![]() P.S: I didn't observe the number wasn't complete, the complete number is KA 10 E 8403 ![]() |

| Btw thejatt, how are you running the twin plugs in terms of ignition signal? Do you still retain the CB points? Does the signal from the points get divided into two before the HT coils or do you have a single coil with single input, dual output? If you are running two HT coils, then are you running two 12V coils in parallel or two 6V coils in series? Any experiments with regard to spark strength (color, voltage)? I have been toying with the idea of reverting to a single coil with twin output leads (used to come OE on the RD 350 HT for a year or two) - don't know where to source it from though. The ones for cars (Palio) are elctronic and not the baatli coils that the Bullets use. |

Same question i was about to ask you.Mine is still point one.Well I am using two coils with parallel connection. One thing to be cared that gap of both the points must be the same.Plug with lesser gap will fire the bike. Now days i am planning to order single input coil with dual output from USA.Its very cheap on ebay. Dual lead chrome 12 volt motorcycle ignition coil NEW chopper bobber Triumph BSA | eBay I also thought of using CDI ignition coil of RD 350 but not sure that it will work fine or not.I guess we need to convert bike to cdi. Here is the link of CDI kit manufacturer for RD.You can call them directly and they can send you kit but may be you have to buy complete kit. They also have the point replacement kit with for STD bullet. Welcome to Autoescorts - Home What system of ignition you are using for twin spark?? Go to page 5 of this thread. You can see post by me.That is my bike DL4SF5922 before conversion to twin spark. Lots of gud mods you have done in your bike.Nice... Last edited by thetjatt : 12th May 2012 at 17:58. Reason: Edittion of more info.

| Man that dual lead coil is exactly what I am looking for. But it shows the sale as "ended" :( Any other similar links? I could ask my mate in Australia to pick up one for me. Yeah, I toyed with the auto escorts kits a long time back. Was discussing a custom made kit with Kiran (Bhide) so as to stagger the firing of both sparks. Didn't follow up, plus mechanical advance on our bikes makes it complicated. I went to page 5 here but could not find your bike man. Please post the link. Would love to see her as well. |

| Here are a couple of snaps of my week old baby! Done 320kms till date. Last night I have replaced the stock headlamps with a Halonix 60/55 W. Desperately need to change the horns to a good one. The stock one almost wants to give up anytime. |

| BHPian | Saw this beautiful Classic Chrome at my mech today. Had H-D grips and foot pegs which felt amazing and suited the bike perfectly. Its off the first batch of Chrome 500's. In the foreground is my 96' 500 |

Been speaking to another guy who has blogged about his twin spark (both std 350 and 500) Bullets. He's fom Goa - Ravi Deka. Know him? He uses the same AVL valve lifter at the tappet window like you have. He says that he's using two 12V coils (dry Bajaj Chetak type - he claims that wet bottle ones the Bullets use are very inefficient and consume more energy than the dry ones - though the dry ones do overheat more). He is running the Eureka electronic ignition and not points. And he has the two 12V coils hooked up IN SERIES. He claims that even the dual output coils are actually internally two coils in series. I always thought that if you use two 12V coils then they need to be in parallel and if you use two 6V coils then they need to be in series (as I have done). However he says that ignition coils are current users/converters and not producing or storage devices, hence two 12V coils in series does not make a 24V circuit (as I had mistakenly? thought) as in the case of two 12V batteries. The main issue with 6V coils is that they overheat and then the bike misfires. Soemthing that has been happening to my bike when on long rides, once I am 150-200 kms into the ride. I thought that my RR unit had gone kaput finally after 10 years (the old 2002 std CI Bullet 500s had two separate units - one regulator and one rectifier) and replaced them with a single combined RR unit that comes in the new Bullets. This seems to have cured the problem but I am begining to wonder whether that was unrelated! I hate electricals man. Give me simple mechanicals anyday. The owner is a shippy and got it from the US. I guess Harley Davidson showrooms here should have it as well.
