Yes i read his blod a month ago,everything is same as mine only one thing is different.I didn't cut the decompressor bodt part from the head just made the whole big so that the whole plug will fit into it.

Do you know how to use chetak coils in bullet i mean about the wiring and all.Because two coils look lilltle odd in bike.

And yes Ravi Deka is right that coil with dual output have the parallel connection inside it.

As long as both plug electrodes are at the same level within the head, there should be no issue of clearance at TDC or exposure to combustion flame front.

Two coils are there anyways on my bike - bottle type ones. So acomodating the smaller dry ones should not be the issue. Special insulation is the issue (per his blog), which I need details from him on.

What Ravi says is that there are two coils internally IN SERIES (not parallel).

He also says that the Eureka gives stronger spark strength, though I will first try out on my points set-up.

I like the "feel" of the bike on points and the flexibility they afford for tuning. Also, with the Eureka, the ammeter becomes useless as there is no deflection (like in the "modern" Bullets) - not nice!

Hey taurus!!

Unluckily didn't get to camp on the beach. Did not have camping equipment. But we did stay at a hotel on the beach. So don't worry no riding under influence. It my fantasy to do a week long camping trip staying at various beaches on the glorious konkan strip.

It is a UCE and it was running on a short bottle at the time. Changed to Chennai Goldstar recently! Amazing torque and rev-eagerness from the engine! Really feels alive to ride! But sure the subtle, crisp, classic thump of the short bottle is missed. The goldstar is loud and unsubtle! And has an awesome growl! Both have their own characteristics. Will change back to Short bottle after a while.

Hi, new forum member here, recently got back on two-wheels after a very long gap. Here's what I've been riding lately as I wait for my own ride - my brother-in-law's 1969 CI RE Bullet STD 350 which he bought from somewhere around Bangalore when he was living there a few years back. He brought it back to Bhutan when he returned. The first couple of pics were taken on a hill overlooking Thimphu, capital of Bhutan. Last pic shows my BIL's parking lot - as you can see he likes older cars & bikes - my kind of guy!

The new model Primary (clutch) cover is the only sore point on this bike. If you could source the clutch cover that comes on the STD model, it would be great !!

Thanks for pointing this out - it's only been recently that I've been borrowing this bike from my bro-in-law and I did immediately notice that primary cover especially as I did not remember such a cover on my old '79 Bullet that I owned in college in the 90s. If I find the appropriate cover I'll be sure to pick it up for him.
