Hello friends,

It feels great going through all your writeups and pics.

I have been a proud owner of 350CL since last 10 months and have clogged 9K on odo. Did few long distance travel (Pune-Aurangabad-Pune and then to Mahableshwar in winter). I did come across couple of niggling issues but got it sorted at home. Dhone automobile Service center is only 3kms. away from my house but the guys do not work properly. But anyways, I will write down the issues later. At present I am posting my 350CL's pics of what ever is available now.

Haven't seen a 4sp A350 on the roads or online for a long time. They are as rare now as the CI500 and Lightening.

I remember riding one of these which was a 99 model(the year it was launched) and how different it was from my 2002 Electra. The torque and the smoothness of the AVL engine was the most noticeable and of course the muted thump with the same exhaust set up as the cast irons.

Any engine work that has been done on it till date?

Hi Tharian,

No engine work has been done, it had been under Nandan's (and Tiger) care for a long time, till Nandan shifted his garage.

One week back, I bought my Thunderbird 500 home. Booked at the RE Brand Store at Saket (Delhi), delivered at Kay Tee Automobiles Mahipalpur, the journey so far has been really interesting. Will be putting up the details on my ownership thread soon.
Got done with the first service today (500 kms completed).

Will update more soon.

Hey Samarth,

Is this the new off-roading muffler for TB from Royal Enfield? Looks good. Can you shed some light on it's price & availability when you got it ?

Regards

Yes, it is. Today I was riding next to a C500 with an upswept exhaust - the one on my TB was less loud, but sufficient for me.
Chrome plating is of quality at par with other chrome plated parts on the bike. The length is also just right.

If ever I feel the need for more sound, I'll go in for the Wildboar.

Nice to know that. I recently changed to a Goldstar with Glasswool. Love the sound it makes, but sometimes turns too loud for my taste.

Could you post more closer pictures of the muffler and the end of it. Would like to know what type of construction it is. I did not know REM provides an aftermarket muffler for the TB.
For a change, this suits the bike and looks like a shorter version of the older TB silencers. Does it have glasswool in it?

Maybe you can post the pictures on this thread,

Some really beautiful machines in this thread.

Specially the Lightening 535s. Will have covered pages 27+ some random ones in between. Some of the restorations are unbelievable as well.

My roommate in mumbai had bought an old bulet that had been eaten by rust as it was in the coastal region. Will ask him if he's restored it by now (5 years hence) & will put up some pics if i can.

My client spent close to 2 lakhs on an old RE that he customised along with a sidecar & took it to the UK. He'd shown some amazing pics.

Got this 1984 Bull yesterday! Picked it up in a very pathetic state in Dec 2013 and the mechanic went on with the restoration at snail's pace. After the restoration, the bike has ran just 100 kms and I haven't rode it more than 2 kms. Getting used to the right shifter.

The sound is amazing and the stance is imposing. Noticed few drops of oil on the garage floor and didn't bother about it, since It is a common characteristic with old bulls.

The rear mud flap was put by the mechanic without my permission and I personally don't like it, but have decided to keep it for a while.
