Here you go boys...
My Vader, 1984 350cc, been using for a while.
It was kept in an absolutely shameful condition, so I decided to to the previous owner a favor and bought it off him for a decent price.

Took care of the complete restoration and brought it back to stock condition, or at least as close as possible to stock.

The only and radical change is the addition of a second spark plug and CD Coil where the bike can start even if the battery is completely dead.

Apart from that, works and rides like a charm. Each day when I commute to work, all the glances and people stopping me to compliment the bike makes it all worthwhile.

Cheers,
M

This is a beauty. A suggestion - if you have a pic without vehicles on the background, would be great.
Nevertheless a beauty, with or without anything in the background .

Thanks deadguy25. I have barely got a day with the bike and now I'm away. More pictures and a dedicated thread coming up

That is a good looking Bullet
The CB to CD conversion is a good mod since those are the only Bullets that can run without the battery.
Any difference with the addition of the second plug. Like better efficiency and pick up?

Thanks Thurian.
Well, I haven't converted per se, rather it is an addition.

I did notice a slight depreciation in performance /pick-up, later found out that my brilliant mechanic has kept the tuning for better mileage rather than actual day-to-day use without taking the Bangalore traffic into consideration.

Apart from that, no qualms whatsoever.
The only problem is the number of people asking me to sell the bike

Nothing "necessitated" it, but the one that I had earlier was damaged, thanks to the previous owner, when I went to purchase the old type one, it was out of stock, so I took this.

@ roadwarrior, almost all cdi 'additions' have the clutch cover changed for some reason, idk why. Btw you have both points & cdi or just the latter? And its a later front brake ?. It sure does look good & so makes up for some queries as well, hope you don't mind. Imho, clear lenses for the indicators may suit good on this black-bright metal finish. cheers..

Renjit , I think the clutch cover does change when converted to a CBI ignition. In this case both damage to the case and conversion maybe the reason.

Not at all..its always a pleasure to share with like minded people about passion that we all share.

Yes sir, I have both, point and CD.
The clutch plates and rod was refurbished. The longer couldn't accommodate the normal cover, besides, since it was unavailable, it was an easier decision to make.

With respect to the clear lens, I did think about it, but wanted a little color to my Darth Vader.

As of this afternoon, I got the rear seats fixed, and a crash guard as well.
The dilema now is whether I should change the handle with the vibra-weights or continue using it the way it is.

I do have a visit to make to my mechanic for some fine tuning and performance / pick-up.

Also, a slight correction, my bike is a '83 model, not '84 which I had mentioned. I couldn't find a way to edit the post...

I am a sedate rider, so I honestly don't focus on top speed, rather a smooth ride is what my prime necessity is.
Nandan and I have a catch-up pending. Hopefully the guru would get the scruff off right.

Just restored my 2004 Electra. Will post better images over the weekend since these were taken outside the garage.
