One of the most handsome bikes from Royal Enfield. It was a completely new motorcycle right from the styling to the engine. I own a Tbird AVL 350 which uses the same engine and gearbox as on your bike. I remember when I was in my teens I used to drool over this bike endlessly on the web. Keep her well and don't sell it.

The backrest foam part is a Karol bagh Delhi product. Which was done up in cheap rexine. It has a metal frame inside where the bolts on the side goes in.

I got the side rods fabricated with bars usually used in window grills, got the plates welded for the bolts. Got it painted black form a denting-painting workshop. [Better go for powder coating]

Then got the tan leathers (rexine) when I got the seats modified.

Pillion feedback is very good, everyone enjoys it. But only concern is you have to swing your leg a bit higher for the extra height of the backrest.
Usually I tilt the bike for first timers.

For a December 2006 model, my Royal Enfield Thunderbird still kicks some serious a** - Removed the backrest for a change.

Mate please dont call me Sir. Yes I totally understand the relation one builds with their Bullet(s). Why the plural "s" in Bullet because I own multiple Bullets and still my hunger is not satisfied. Each of them are like my own extension. Like you I too wont sell a single one of them, Ever. Infact I was thinking of transforming my Tbird AVL 350 into a Machismo AVL 350 such is my liking for the Bullet Machismo. Happy to know your love for the Bullet Machismo.

Looks good and well maintained for a 8.5 year old model. Your's is a TCI model I believe. I too own a 2004 Tbird AVL (CDI model) and yes I agree the Tbird still runs well and keeps up with the modern UCE's while cruising. I hope you keep it for long and take good care of her.

P.S. Mate do one favor get rid of that front crashguard as it will do more damage by trapping your legs incase of a collision, get a diamond type crashguard. I too have it on my AVL Tbird and vouch by it.

Was a thunderstorm filled morning in Lucknow. Took the classic out in the rain. Loved it. Here are some pics. One has a lightening bolt in the backdrop!

I'm a little late for this thread I guess. Just this week I parted with my first gen TB350 which served me well over the past 13 years for more than a lac kilometers including the 3 memorable rides to the mountains.

Good thing is that I handed it down to my brother so I will still get to ride it when I visit Mumbai.

Adios!
