Hello BHPians,

I need suggestion in buying a bike (I am not sure if this the right forum), my priorities are

1. Good ride quality (must seat 2 comfortably)
2. Good stability
3. Looks and styling
3. Mileage
4. My budget is between 50K and 70K
5. It’s only for urban commute

I appreciate your valuable suggestions.

Test ride the Honda Unicorn and the Hero Honda Hunk, i think these should tick all your boxes.

With your requirements Only Honda comes to mind, Try out Unicorn, Hunk & CBZ X. (Notice all have 18 inch wheels)

I have not had a ride on Stunner so cant comment.

Avenger is good but has small pillion seat plus with low seating it hits hard on potholed roads

Hey go for the mini karizma[honda cbf stunner].It meets all your needs.plus point is it is a very good bike with looks ,especially black color and mileage is also good, the only negative point is bad A.S.S,spare parts are costly[typical honda].Over all it is a good package with a reliable engine, good looks, handling & mileage.

if you dont want to keep the bike as "jeevan bhar ka saathi" ,then Pulsar series is good(especially P200).

1) Pulsars are the king here. Hunk and X-treme are very bad.
2) Pulsars are good. Unicorn is third and Yamaha Gladiator are king.
3) Varies from person to person.
4) Look for Suzuki 150cc bike also.
5) Dont go for heavy bike and go for some bike that has excellent bottom end torque.

I test drove Suzuki's 150cc offering and it was torque, however, I was not happy about ride quality.

I think that Yamaha Gladiator is nice buy for your requirements.

A bit stretching your budget, but I guess the p200 is an excellent package

@aaggoswami- Pulsars are king in good ride quality ???? I am sorry my friend but Honda's clearly win here & Unicorn & XTreme have good suspensions just like any Honda bike

In Vadodara, the roads are non existent. The ride quality from Pulsar is really pampering and X-trem has very stiff set up. Unicorn comes close to Pulsar. This might vary, but I am myself a heavy person and with this weight, I found Pulsar to be excellent.

Sorry if I am mistaken. My previous bike was Caliber ( original Kwaker motor ) and now Zeus. I found Pulsar much better. However, the best combination for thread starter is, IMO, Yamaha. Good ride quality and not at the cost of stability. Unicorn equals Yamaha here.

how about yamaha fz 16. Though looks are too youth oriented and then there is the bad reputation associated with the brand but the bike looks good and quite powerful and stable. But may be all of us are too oriented towards hondas

Not sure why none has recommended the Apache RTR FI... I have zeroed in on that ride after looking around for a while... requirements similar to aravinrd, and am from Chennai too - so not a issue of roads / traffic.

@Aravinrd - suggest you to test ride the Apache RTR FI too - you may just like it

some of you are forgetting the point that he requires excellent comfort for the pillion as well. that should rule out most of the pulsars and fz16 is out of the budget i guess?

i think honda unicorn and hero honda cbz xtreme should suit your needs ably.
