Hero Puch. 65cc and 4.15 bhp I think it was. Great fun to ride though! Top speed was about 65kph. The best I ever got out of it was 72 kpl. Has anybody actually got the claimed 91kpl?

Yup my bro had a Hero Puch Turbo Sport, which gave him 92kmpl if he rode slowly.

First vehicle I owned was the Samurai, what a success it turned out to be for the company! I sold it after 7 years and bought discover and now I have the Uni, but I still miss the rev of the 2stroke.

BSA 50 cc bought in 1984 a year later moved to delhi no bike for a year and then the Ind Suzuki AX100 85 model bought in 1986 sold in 90 rebought same bike in 92 and sold finally in 97 rx100 86 model bought in 98 sold in 2000 Yamaha YZF R1 2002 model in 2007 still have it.

the ind suzuki used to a real fun bike at the right age for wheelies spot turns and stuff rode intercities delhi - doon mussoorie, delhi - jaipur, silvassa - pune and silvassa - Mhow.

the rx 100 was more of an office bike but the occassional trip to delhi from jaipur

glad i didn't have the R1 back then as i would have just killed my self this one i have touched 288 kliks on the speedo between dubai abudhabi regularly.

couple of guys have mentioned grown too old for bikes???? i am 42 and rode such a beast up from the indian scene directly even with bullets and rd350 the jump to 150 bhp is awesome and scary initially along with the weight and my girth which does feel uncomfortabe but am in love with the bike tho wife hates sitting on it says very uncomfortable.

the next change will be either the 2009 R1 or busa though with the job situations in dubai and redundancies dont see that happening.

I used to use my mom's Bajaj M-50 then she upgraded to M-80. Then I learnt to use my dad's scooter. After that they bought me a TVS Victor, and then finally I bought myself a Pulsar DTSi 180cc. (err.. 4 years back)

So effectively my first owned bike would be the Pulsar.
The first one I ever rode would be Bajaj M-50.

1) Luna TFR + 1989 Model.
2) Bajaj Chetak 1978 model.
3) Bajaj Chetak 12 Volt Electronic, 1990 Model.
4) Bajaj Caliber 2001 Model

Those are the two wheelers that I have owned and rode.

1. IND-Suzuki AX 100- 1986 model, sold off in 1989.
2. Kawasaki-Bajaj KB 100 RTZ - bought 1989, sold 1996.
3. Suzuki Shogun -bought 1993, sold 2000.
4. Splendor-bought 2000, with me still. Done 75250 KM, engine still unopened, still returns 65 KPL (down from the earlier 72 KPL).

Hero Honda Splendor 1999 / 1,18,000 Kms done / Engine opened at 85,000 Kms / Mileage, never bothered (but I think it gives 55kmpl) / Average Driving Speed at 40-50 kmph.

Hehe, a TVS-Suzuki Max 100R. I swear - I loved the bike. I did not want to sell it too. But once I moved to Bangalore, dad sold it.

Rx-135 01' model..2-stroke fun at its best, got it ported and then made it stock again to go group-D racing, thrashed it on the track, had quite a few falls until it became unworthy of riding. (My bad).sold it in 2005. (sorry guys no pics)

Bullet 500CI 05' model..Very rare bike, brilliant torque levels, lucky for me it came with a disc brake and electric starter (very moody). But the real thrill is its capability to go from 30-120kph on the same gear.She's a real beauty guys, must say. Sold it last month to make way for my dirt bike (sob). (pics included)

Bought a RXG 96' model last month for a dirt bike project, theres a dedicated thread about it elsewhere in the forum.

my first bike was 2003 Bajaj Pulsar 150 dtsi. Bought in october.

its done ~30k kms and is still going strong.

have great memory with this bike and i love its performance for its segment. many people are of opinion that pulsar's performance dips after 10k to 15k kms, i had love to prove those people wrong. just come and ride my bike. still feels the same after ~5 years of ownership.

haven't spend much on this bike, regular servicing, changed battery once, front mud guard replaced.

though now, new tyres are due. will be done soon.

one of the best bikes in India and no regret owning one.

hi,
when i was in 10th after begging my parents for several months got me tvs xl super,used it for 1 yr and in 1pu gave the bike to my younger brother and got me a hh splendor which unfortunately got stolen after 3 months from out side my house cause i left the key on the bike overnight. and as a punishment for the careless act had to stay without one for 6 months after which i was bought a Yamaha yxb,used it for 1 yr and sold it off for 13k .later got me a sweet looking blue color shaolin 2000 model for 15 grands,ported it polished got a chamber and raced on mg road in the nights for some time and then sold it off for 8k,later got me a honda unicorn which was my trusted companion for 6 months gave it to my brother and got me the mighty bajaj avenger 180, was with me for 1 yr with 4k kms on odo. sold it off for 45k since i wasnt using it much cause of my xing.

finally,i felt the need for bike again casue of high fuel cost on my baleno and bought me a tvs rtr 180 used it for 3 months and gave it off to my brother again and currently using a 98model Suzuki shougun which i got for 19k,spent like 3k on it for battery oil new shocks(rtr) and stuff and the bike rides like a dream. got to know from the mech that the engine is sealed and never been opened yet. so lets see how long its gonna be with me.
