Unhappy Carb Tuning : Help Required

I have and Apache RTR 160 Refresh , June 2008.
The bike was running pretty fine, but 1 day I thought about tuning the Carb and Increasing its efficiency and performance,
but sadly I ended up screwing the carb and even my bike, after some time I took the Initiative to revert the tuning ,
but not I am finding it pretty difficult to tune it right, because the bike gives me jerks at a constant speed (45-50 kmph in 5th gear)
and when I hold the clutch when the bike is running at high speeds 40-50 kmph, the rpm goes down very slowly to 2k and then does not go back till the idle rpm (1200 rpm) .

Please suggest the best way that I can tune the carb and also when i tried tuning via spark plug test method I found out That the ring near the electrode always remains dry black, and thus I am unable to adjust accordingly

Please Help

First tell us what you did, its a CV carb right? Which all settings you adjusted and do you know the original settings (no of turns the screws were set at)?

Take the bike to the TVS service center, they will set it up for you.

Or write down step by step illustration of what all changes you did when setting (trying to) in the first place.

If possible, give more details on what you really adjusted.
I think that generally what we are allowed to adjust is the idling screw, but I think you did some other adjustments also.

So now either you go by trial and error method again to solve this problem yourself, or go to dealer to get it fixed. Tell them and explain what you have done. This should solve your problem.

Did you note down the changes you made?

Go to the authorized service.

it feels like a leak in the inlet ,that is
1)There is a Secondary air injection pipe going from the carb black manifold rubber to a diaphragm pump, see if it cracked or come out.
2)see if the air filter rubber on the carb loose.
3)The stock carb is as good as they come, unless using a fre flow do not fiddle
cheers
