Post Chennai - Thunderbird mod help (Graphic & tech)

I own a 2004 Thunderbird. I had modified my gas tank & made it bigger and also chromed it. It's been two years since that, it's all rusted now and I'm looking for some mods on my bike.

Graphic
I have few pics that I want to paint it on my gas tank. I'm planning to paint or powder coat every part of my bike black (don't want to see any rust no more). How much it will cost me, any approx amount?

Tech
I would like to do some tech changes as well. Would like to make my bike do a real 130kmph birdie. Any suggestions.

I live in Chennai, do you know who can do things that I dream of having in my bike? Both tech & graphic modification? Also any wild guess on the approx amount I have to set aside for this?

Engine modification means good money to spend with.porting,shoe-horning valves ,getting good tolerance piston etc which needs a very good mechanic.I've heard of some venugopal of banglore who can help you.

Which mechanic has give you this estimate. Cause one of my cousins and his friends in Chennai used to customize Bullets and they had a very good mechanic who used to do the work for them.

If u want i can put you across to him. They have the in and out know how of bullets.

My mechanic is Narasimhan. His workshop is in Triplicane and he works with Southern Motors as well. He has been looking after my bike and I'm happy with his work.

But since few months he is sick and his Jr at work is handling things. My bike is with him for 4 weeks now and his jr aint picking up my calls. Will be visiting him tomorrow.

Adi please pass on the info, I'm also looking for some neat engine mods as well. Need to take off few stuffs from the list above or atleast verify the cost before going ahead with the changes.

Ya, I was very very close to going to JAF. But it was tough to shoo away from my mechanic. Probably I should have!! Heard and read a lot about JAF, have you met him or his son?

Ya I know both of them quite well. Infact I got my T'Bird @ JAF . And its always serviced and maintained at JAF.

And regarding the parts its better you purchase the parts and give him. Noor Automobiles in Pudupet is the place to be. So you can be sure of the prices.

Do PM if you need any help.

Regards,
Ramesh.
