Tell you what, let me know when you'll be coming online in BHP next. I'll login the same time and post his number and once you give your confirmation on reception of the same, I'll edit it. Think that's safe enough.

Mate,
Never owned a RX100 but have its bigger brother (Rajyam). Been in this circle from the previous 12 years and know him pretty well. Have seen him restore RX100 they are a treat. Only thing is he sticks to Original concepts and alteration works are not encouraged. He is an old timer basically. Lot of my friends have got their RX's restored by him and none have complained except for the time factor. Insists only on Original Spares and usually havent seen him accept spares from customers.
He does not restore RD's because of non availability of original spares. Currently repairs/services only one if my memory is correct.
Regarding the Red Indian Scout this is the only 1 of the 2 bikes (Scout) in India that are currently in running condition.

Default Hero Honda Karizma mechanic recommendations in Bangalore

All

I have a 2005 Karizma that has just clocked 21,000 kms and is in need for some love. Over the last few years it was hardly run but now that i have moved to BLR, this is my primary mode of transport. I want to get it into perfect shape mechanically and electrically so that I can go explore the biking trails around the city. The following things need to be done:

1. Complete Servicing
2. Fork and suspension check
3. Carb Cleaning
4. Chain and sprocket change
5. Alignment
6. Electrical checkup (self start dies on me sometimes, maye a lose wire)

I am guessing sourcing parts for this model may not be super easy any longer (the hero service center in Thippasandra stocks nothing for the Karizma!), so if there is a hidden gem of a shop in Bangalore thats still maintains inventory for Karizma parts, let me know of that as well.

I live in Indranagar, but for a good, reliable mechanic I dont mind travelling far.

Please let me know of any recommendations and contacts.

Thanks. Appreciate it!

Hi,
I dont know of mechanics in banglore,maybe banglore guys can help you out with that, however i could help you with your bike if you have some DIY skills and some basic tools. A normal service could be done by yourself as a last resort if you cant find a reliable mechanic, parts yes i agree are less easily available as compared to over the shelf before, but do not despair worst comes to worst can always be sourced elsewhere.
Feel free if you need anything. i am based in goa and own a karizma and do most of the stuff myself hence could help you if you want to do it yourself.If you find a good mechanic then you could try that out first.

For your starter dying out, just check the switch at the clutch lever, you will find two wires, just make sure there is no loose contact.

Which side of Bangalore do you live in? If by chance you are staying in the north Bangalore, visit AMR bikes in Vidyaranyapura and talk to Javed. Honest chap, good work, even cleans the bike after servicing it better than I have seen anyone else do, takes his own sweet time, but in the end delivers a good job

Thanks. I used to do the oil /air filter change; spark plug cleaning, brake bleeding etc mysellf, but not very confident on the carb cleaning and electrical work.

But i am totally open to the idea of doing them myself if I can find the right guide!

Thank You! I am on the Indra Nagar 100ft road and google maps tells me this place is 20+kms away. A little too much in BLR traffic! However, if I dont find anything else, I may go visit Javed. I am perfectly ok with the guy taking his time and doing things the right way rather than doing any jugaads since I want to use this for touring around now.

Bimal Hero, Sadashivnagar has the parts. Ask for Mr Sadguru in spares. Nice chap. If he doesn't have the stock, he orders and gets them in about a week. I'm in the process of restoring one and he helped me with the parts.

Coming to building, there are some YouTube videos on cleaning carbs, dismantling and assembling the whole Karizma engine etc. They are not very well presented but they give clues if you're stuck. This surely isn't recommended if you're a total newbie but if you're willing to learn, take the plunge

Good luck!

Laxmi Bike Service, Devi Nagar, i get my Activa Serviced from him, he specialises in 4 Stroke bikes and also does some rally prep work for a few riders. My experience with him has been great, price on a higher side, but service quality was good.

I could help you with cleaning the carb via a video call or something incase you don't find anything.
@subramanyam
Could you help me with the original tank monograms from your source?? That would be my first preference if not the karizma sticker, am talking about the version before the 'R' stickers came out.

@scorpian I'll sure ask him. It would help if you tell which year Karizma are you looking for. He could find the part number based on that.

@subramanyam
Looking for 2003 tank monograms.
If those are not available then 2005 tank karizma stickers would do aswell. I am looking at two sets of any of the above. One to paste on my bike since some idiot ripped it off and the second one to keep as spare.
