Upsize battery for Hero Honda Ambition

Hi,

I wish to replace the current battery on my hero honda ambition(non-electric start) from 12v 2.5Ah to 12v 5Ah(which came with electric start model).

Can you please advise what all parts will need to be replaced for that?
I am aware about replacing battery box. Does air filter assembly also needs to be changed?

Air filter assembly need not be changed.

The wiring may need to be replaced since you're going to fit a 5Ah battery.

But why do you want to do it? Is the OE battery inadequate in any way? Just curious.

I used a 5Ah SMF battery(almost of the same dimensions as 2.5Ah one) for some time and found it to handle the load of high beam, horn and indicators much better than 2.5Ah battery.

Attaching a image of the battery I had been using.

Now I am unable to source it. So, thought of changing the battery box to 5Ah one(used in the electric start model), as that battery is easily available.

What are the dimensions of the OE battery? Let me see if I can help you get a 5 Ah battery in that size.

OE battery dimensions(mm) are - 84 X 74 X 105

5AH battery dimensions(mm) are - 90 X 70 X 101
