rm_arjuna there are a bunch of motorcycling clubs in Hyderabad.

You can check out the highway nawabs, wanderers and so on.

I ride with the 23ONE.
For more info on my club ping me, for others google should be able to help you out.

A friend said that the Rider Mania 09 organized by RE at Goa has a pathetic turnout when compared to that of the clubs.

Cheers,

@bblost, Thankyou for helping out here. Much appreciated.

@ naveenroy, Accommodations are of course on a first come first serve basis. We are working on putting up the information as soon as every last detail is finalized. However, I can say that there will be accommodation for couples.

@Gordon, The price is high cos as of now we haven't been able to get sponsorship for the event. The charges include stay, meals, events, entertainment etc.

Currently we have no contact or support from RE except for the fact that we ride their bikes.

Thank you all again for the support. I hope to see you all at RMX.

Good news fellas,

We have revised the prices for the registration for RM X. We had been getting feedback from the community in terms of the high prices for the RM X registration and hence the reduction. This has been achieved by cutting down some of the extras which was previously thought to be given as free. We still haven't got any sponsorship and most of us from the Inddiethumpers have raised the cash by paying an extra over the registration amt.

In case we do get sponsors for the event we would increase the offerings at the events.

The revised slabs for the registration are as following :-

15th Nov 2009 to 15th Dec 2009: Rs. 3,200/-
16th Dec 2009 to 30th Dec 2009: Rs. 3,700/-
31st Dec 2009 to 15th Jan 2010: Rs. 4,000/-
16th Jan 2010 to 20th Jan 2010: Rs. 4,300/-

We urge you to register as soon as possible to avoid any last minute goof ups.

We will put up more details soon.

If that's the case we RE enthusiasts who are in neither camp deserve to hear all about it so that we can make up our minds.

Oh, and behzad, isn't there a wildcard option that allows Bullet riders passing by to stop and check out the function? I'm not interested in participating in the events or staying overnight or partying or bagging any freebies, but being from the media I'm interested in seeing first-hand what the scene is like. Of course, I own a Bullet.

I would also be interested in something like what Edsel_Rulez said, and you also include TBirds in this right? or is it an elitist strictly Bullets thing

Any RE bike is fine.

I am waiting for the day someone lands up on a Mofa, Explorer or a Silver Plus.

Have a safe ride.
I used to ride with that club before most of us quit that and formed a new club.
But that is a long story for some other time.

I'd love to see someone wheeze in on an Enfield Fantabulous!

I know it's off-topic, but this phenomenon seems to be very common. Fans claim biking is a religion. This probably explains why such clubs invariably seem to splinter, each new entity feeling it's way better than the one it broke off from. Yeah, it sounds very much like religion to me.

Its an ego thing. LOL. And with a Bullet between the legs it grows exppnentially.

I now ride alone.

Echo that. Roadshakers have splintered into some terribly named club. Riding alone means more freedom, at least for me.

Cheers,

Jay

290 online registrations.
Your truly is number 290.

Today is the last day before the price goes up by 10 L of petrol

My club's plan is simple.

We will leave Hyderabad at about 3 PM or so on 21.
Night halt at Solapur.
Next day Solapur to V'gad.

Return trip in our usual style of leave in the morning and ride till you reach home.

Behzad bhai, What happens if we reach on 22 night.
Some daal roti needed.

RM X has crossed 400 registrations and there is more than a month left.

If you ride a RE.
This is where you want to be on the 23-24 January 2010.

I am so damn excited.

For guys riding via Solapur. There is an excellent dhaba called Hyderabad House. Its about 20 or so kms before Solapur from the Hyderabad side.
Clean toilets.

Avoid the Solapur - Pune stretch in the night.
The road was quite bad the last time I drove down. About 50 days back.

My timings from the last drive may come in handy in planning.
Hyderabad - Solapur: 300 kms: 4 Hours
Solapur - Pune: 250 kms: 5 Hours.

It was in my Wagon R.
