| 2003 Bajaj Caliber 115: I am looking to sell my 2003 Bajaj Caliber 115 in Chennai. It was unused for a good part of the last 3 years and has rusted in places as a result. It's fuel tank would probably need replacement, currently its leaks have been sealed using M Seal. The bike rides good, and feels in good condition. Odo wasn't working for a good time in the past, so km run is not known. How much can I expect to get? 15k? Or more? |

| Rate of the old bike depends on alot of factors, like condition, maintainence, any expenses after buying and all papers intact.Sold is gone you need not worry about your past bike, whats your new buy? | Hey, even i have a RE Thunderbird (2004 Model, Blue colour). I bought it 3 yrs back for 48k. The bike was totally stock and immaculate except the silencer (Aluminium Rocket). The guy gave me the original silencer as well. The price depends on the condition of the bike. I guess 40-42k should be fine. Cheers |

Another issue I have is that its insurance had expired long back (it was kept parked for too long). Is it necessary to get a new insurance done before selling the bike? Or can I leave it to the buyer? | |

| Hi Pjay, Its better to get the insurance done and an over all paint touch job or so including electrical check and all. Good buyers will always look for genuine sellers with all papers clear. You will get a better price. If not you might need to sell at a lower price and run behind for years to get the bike transferred. |
