Now after all these years I want to sell it. But don't have any idea how much will be the value of the vehicle. So if you guys can help me with the approximate price for a bike of this vintage, I'll be very thankful.
Is it a 2002 model? If so to my knowledge, you can expect a price around 20k.

Hi Guys, I own a TVS Apache RTR 160 (Refresh, not the FI) 2008 model.
Odo currently at 25000km. Out of the 5 years , it has been used for 3.5 years. Bike is in great condition and returns 45-46 kmpl.
How much do you think can I quote for selling it?

Hello Motonanu,

You can expect Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000 for your bike.

Hello All,

A colleague of mine is going onsite & offering his December 2009 Bajaj Pulsar 180 UG 4 with 24500 on ODO for Rs. 39,000. I just saw this bike today with another colleague & it is in fantastic condition.

Co-incidently last month I bought September 2010 Bajaj Pulsar 180 UG 4 with 8000 on ODO for Rs. 45,000 from another colleague who too was going onsite.

Thanks,

Guys, what should be the ideal price for a September 2012 Honda Aviator DLX (with disk brakes) having 1800 kms on the odo?

The guy says that he bought it by mistake and now feels like owning a geared bike instead.

The current price of a new Aviator DLX in Bangalore is Rs.64,500 on road + Rs.4000 for accessories.

Hello Oxy,

Hope reason for selling the vehicle is genuine. Though the bike is almost new, still you will be the second owner & I suggest you to negotiate hard with him. If the cost of new vehicle is approx Rs. 68,000, then you can buy this bike for Rs. 58,000 to Rs. 60,000.

Hello Askicode,

Splendor has great brand value & respect in India in general. But the bike in question is almost 15 years old & I feel the seller will be lucky if he gets approx Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 10,000 for it.

Thanks,

Hi guys,

Just came across this thread today.

As you might know, I own a Mustard Yellow Pulsar 200NS, and have clocked just about 4000 kms on it, the initial ownership thread can be found here : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...-2200-kms.html (Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS : Ownership Review, 2200 Kms)

The OTR price for the bike was 100,915 INR, completely paid up, no debts.

The stock tires were replaced with Pirelli Sport Demons F (110/70) and R (130/70) which cost me about 10,000 INR, thus the final price for me was 110,000 INR.

It's also got a premium plate (531) which of course was a personal choice and will not account for higher resale value, unless the new owner has a fascination of such a number, chances of which are really rare.

Thing is this.

The Baby Duke was out of my budget when I bought the 200NS in September '12.

However with the Duke 390 rumours doing the rounds with an expected launch date of February end at a mouth watering price tag of 200,000 OTR, it gets me thinking.

If at all I choose to sell the NS which is still fairly a new bike in the market, and considering my bike has not even done the second service, what should be my asking price, in case I choose to let it go?

Cheers
Preetam

Hello Preetam,

You may start the negotiations from Rs. 90,000 & you can finally close the deal somewhere between Rs. 80,000 - Rs. 85,000. Which I personally feel is a huge loss considering the fact that you have used the bike for approx 2500 kms.

I understand your facination for Baby Duke, but I will suggest you to keep this wonderful bike for atleast 1 year & then think of selling it.

Thanks,

Thanks Jignesh!
This is just a wayward thought, and to be honest I might not be looking at a bike any further after the NS, reason being my priorities are slowly changing with age piling up against me!
There are a lot of ifs and buts to be considered before I think of upgrading at such short notice, chief of which are, the OTR price of the 390, build quality (a lot of questions are doing rounds for the duke 200), mileage of the 390, and the riding comfort of the 390, the 1st and 4th points being most important. Lets wait and watch what unfurls and I will take a decision based on the factors after the launch

Hi,
I managed to sell it off for about 19000. By this June it would have completed 15 yrs.

Hello,

Rs. 19,000 for a 15 year old Hero Honda Splendor is really great price. Was the bike really in good condition? That goes to show the level of trust Indian people have in Splendor as a brand & product.

Infact last year year I managed to sell my 2002 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic for (only) Rs. 15,000 (at that time the bike was just 9 years old). Compare this to a 15 year old Splendor going for Rs. 19,000, no more words. Period.

Thanks,

Well even I was surprised but when I checked it even with Hero Service Center mechanic he too quoted me a figure of 19 to 20k. I asked him are you sure since its a 15 yr old bike. He was saying that it would because according to him the earlier engines that came in were very good compared to the new splendors.

For a second I thought he was kidding so jokingly I told him that if you can get someone who is willing to shell out I am willing to sell. Next day I got a call and before I knew it everything was done. I aint complaining as it didnt make much sense for me to renew the registration of a 15yr old bike for another 5 yrs..

Regarding the bike it was in a really good condition with timely maintenance and replacement of old part. Recently I had even changed the front rim, footrest. (14.5 yrs with 72kms on the odo). btw I had changed the registration twice. I had brought the bike in Pune .. transferred it to Hyd and then finally to Bangalore. But somehow that didnt impact the sale price.

Guys, I own a Aug-2007 model Hero Honda Glamour PGM-FI. Have done some 21K+ kms as I became more of a car-guy (bought my car in May-08) than a biker. I have maintained the bike quite neatly. Gives me a mileage of around 55kmpl.

What is the best rate that I can expect? I bought her for 62K+ rupees - don't remember exactly.

Note: This Glamour is a FI one and not the regular carburetor type.

I have a Dec-2003 model, Bajaj Pulsar registered in Chennai. I am planning to take this to Chennai for selling it since I am put up in Bangalore currently. I am not sure of a good dealer who would make sure all the paper work is done and ownership is transferred properly to the new owner. If anyone from Chennai can help me with some names of dealers who do this with due diligence it would be of great help.

Also help me with the price, what is a decent price for my bike?
Thanks in advance.
