Hi guys,

A used CBF Stunner PFM-FI is going for 42K and I am interested in it. It has run 35K kms and is a 2009 model. No hits, bends, scratches or dings anywhere. All electricals are working well and is a single owner. Tyres seem very less used and looking at the bike from the front, there seems to be nothing that's out-of-line. No vibrations from anywhere too. Owner claims 60kmpl. The only thing I thot that needed changing was the Drive-chain set. That apart, the bike seems to be ready to ride away.

Is this a good price to pay for it? I thot it is, being an FI, but I wanted a second opinion. I do not have access to a mech right away either so posting here. I have never purchased a used bike before and this is the first time for me.

Hello Kashyap,

I feel the price of Rs. 42000 for 2009 CBF PFM-FI Stunner is little on the higher side. If you can bring down the price to Rs. 38000 or Rs. 40000 it will be a good deal. You can easily get mileage of 55 kmpl in city driving conditions.

As far as FI in bikes goes, local mechanics will not advise to go for these bikes as they are not technically sound enough to repair them. But generally there are no specific complaints from the users of FI bikes in particular. But one has to ensure that adulterated fuel is not used because Fuel Injector will start giving problems.

Thanks,

Thanks Jignesh.

He was quoting 45K but agreed to part for 42K. I also thot that 40K would be optimum. But then, this was a good bike and a slight premium on a good and well-maintained bike is better than looking for cheaper bikes with totally unknown antecedents. I got a brand new motocross-styled helmet too which was also in very good condition. He very kindly renewed the insurance policy for a whole year starting from yesterday. So in the end the extra 2K got paid off too.

Guys,

I was going through the used bikes thread and found this:
http://classifieds.team-bhp.com/buy-...eed-Twin.html/

Is this some kind of joke? Or it really deserves the quote?

Hello Mates,

I am planning to sell my 2 month old TVS Wego which has less than 600 kms on it for around 56k. Bought it at 59k. Do you guys thinks its a fair expectation or am i optimistic?

Its still on T/R, so the new buyer will be the first owner and will get all the benefits of company warranty.

Please advice.

Hello,

Why you are selling 2 month old wego, are you facing any problem? Don't think you get 56k, any bike/scooter, if it is out of show room pricewill be reduced by 5k minimum in bengaluru.

You are right. I was indeed being a bit optimistic expecting 56k. I sold my Wego for 52k. I had to sell it because, my wife (whom the bike was initially intended to) was not very comfortable with the weight of the vehicle.

What is the price I can expect for a single owner June 2008 pulsar 200 oil cooled model that is completely stock and has run 19000 kms as of now. We have got 2 more two wheelers at home and that is one reason for such a less mileage.

Btw it has got a fancy number 8383.

Hello Vikram,

You may expect approx Rs. 50000 / 55000 for your bike. Try to sell it to a direct buyer - say someone in your organization.

Sorry to hear about your back problem. But is the back pain because of your bike?

Hello SMRTDVL,

You can expect approx Rs. 37,000 to Rs. 40,000 for your June 2008 Pulsar 200 Oil Cooled. I just bought Oct 2010 Pulsar 180 with 8046 on ODO in Mumbai for Rs. 44,000.

Thanks,
