How much can I expect?
Friend sold his well maintained 2006 model, 2nd owner Pulsar 150 with 26k on odo in Navi Mumbai a couple of months ago for 13k.

Here in Chennai, 2005 models go as low as 8k~12k depending on the condition.

I am planning to put my 2004 Enfield Thunderbird for sale. It has some modifications like a custom 20 ltr tank and fenders.

Misc. details:

- 0 mechanical issues
- Average body condition. Some scratches on the paint
- Brand new tyres (no more than 1000 kms used) and battery
- All gauges removed but should not be more than 20000 kms running in total
- Serviced every 5 to 6 months
- 2nd owner but its still in the previous owner's name. Will this be an issue whilst conducting the sale? I have all the sale related documents though.
- Reason for sale : Got the KTM Duke 390, not using the bull enough
- Location : New Delhi

I was thinking of putting it up on OLX for around Rs 60,000. Fair price?

I am planning to sell my Pulsar 180 as I am not able to do justice to the bike. I love it to the core but my recurring neck/shoulder pain has made it difficult for me to ride it.

Details:
Model: Pulsar 180 DTSi (Blue-black)
Year: Aug 2012
Odo: 14xxx kms
Insurance: Valid till Aug 2015
Owner: 1st
Condition: very good.

How much can I expect for it?

Also the bike is registered in Bangalore while it resides in Bhubaneswar now. How can it be transferred? I had tried to get a NOC while leaving Bangalore. I had very little time in hand and had to approach an agent. He was asking Rs.2500 after a lot of negotiation which I felt was too high.

  • The removed gauges might be an issue during the sale and people might try to drive a very hard bargain stating the total kms run is not genuine.
  • The ownership should not be an issue if you have all documents which the buyer can use to transfer the vehicle to his name. In rare cases, you might have to hook up the buyer with the first owner if there is a mismatch of signature or some such.
  • Price seems fair though, again, you might have to deal with bargain hunters owing to the bike being 2nd owner & not having gauges. All the best!

Not sure about Bhubaneswar but in Bangalore, you can get 2 year old P180's for around 55-58k at the dealers. So based on this you can calculate what could be the price in your place. If you have any friends in Bangalore, its best to send the vehicle and sell it here rather than selling it there (personal opinion). Would save the hassle of haggling with RTO offices for NOC etc.

Guys! came across this offer. Near mysore karnataka.

Activa 2009 model, 26000kms done, said to be in good condition.
Quoted price 25k. Slightly negotiable.

Since this is a bit far off from my place, i am not sure if i should even go to check this out.

is it worth it?

What is your current location? 2009 Activa, I think is the old model, the bulky one and also with the scooters you are never sure of the actual kms done. Unless you have someone who can physically check and confirm the condition, you may let this one pass.

Your current location says Mumbai. Activas are a dime a dozen there. I for one would never even think about considering it bud

Hello,

In the first place, forget the offer price.

Are you really willing to buy 5 year old Honda Activa? I will strongly suggest to ignore this vehicle and look for Activa's which are not more than 3 years old.

Thanks,

Thanks jignesh, urban_nomad, & dass!

I'm currently put up in mysore.
The said vehicle is in a nearby location called T-Narsipur.

I'm a little low on budget like.... 20ish.

Could anyone point out what could really be wrong with a 5 yr old activate? So that I can check for those particular problem areas when I go for seeing it.

By the way I'm looking this for my sister, mainly for grocery shopping.
Any suggestions what should I be looking for in this budget and given requirement.

I assume based on the cost quoted that it is a 350CC one. It retails at around 1.4L in Bangalore I believe, so not a bad deal but try to get at around ~85-90. Why is the bike on sale by the way?

Thanks dass! Yes, its for a 350cc one. I was gonna negotiate for around that price. Owner going on a long term overseas assignment and plans to sell it.
