You finally got the head hey! Change the block too, looks too odd with the CI block. Any chance of having a gander at it?

Thanks to the contact you hooked us up with Randhawa, we finally got the head. Sure you can have a gander on it...u will have to wait for a couple of months though...we still have to test out boost levels, jetting etc...so its some distance away....even i have not ridden it as yet!

I didn't mean to ride it but just to admire the hard work going into it and to admire the beauty she has. Unless Randhawa is working on it in Mumbai then hard but if he is doing it at his place then I can just drop by.

The supercharger looks like a nasty one, can you adjust the boost on it or you would need a waste gate to adjust the boost. Does it has independent lubrication or need to hook up with engine for lubrication and cooling?

Ah. Cool man. Sure. You have Randhava's number. Just give him a shout before you plan to go across. He is working on it in Kharar, near Mohali.

On the blower, we will adjust the boost by playing with the pulley ratio's. We are considering putting a waste gate but lets see how much boost we end up producing. Our aim is 4-5psi...not more than that....

The blower is a sealer unit, has independent lubrication. No need for any plumbing with the engine for lubrication.

Default Presenting the worlds 1st Supercharged Royal Enfield - the Prostreet 700

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the bike is finally complete. We rode it down from Chandigarh to Rith thider Mania 2012 in Manesar, where predictably, it walked away with the first prize in the Cust om Bike section. The motorcycle has changed significantly since I detailed it in my last thread

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...t-mod-job.html

The bike's builder, Ranjit Randhawa has done an awesome job with the look and the engineering of the bike. The mods done on the bike are as follows:

Frame, suspension and brakes

1. All new tailor made custom frame
2. Engine offset to accommodate large 200 cross section tyre
3. Custom made 17” 6 spoke front and rear alloy wheels
4. Tyre dimensions: Front: 120”, Rear: 200”
5. Mono-shock rising link rate rear suspension. Fully adjustable – load, preload, damping sourced from a CBR900RR
6. Fully adjustable front suspension sourced from a CBR 900RR.
7. Hand made fiber glass front and rear fenders with tire hugging profile
8. Custom made user friendly chain adjustment mechanism
9. Custom made 4 pot hydraulic rear sprocket brake.
10. Custom made housing and installation of rear brake master cylinder
11. 4 pot hydraulic front brakes and rotors sourced from an earlier model R1
12. Rubber bush mounted engine
13. Custom made handle bars tailor made to suit my riding stance. All wiring and cables hidden inside handle bars and frame.
14. Custom made, hand crafted twin body 20 litre capacity petrol tank

Engine

15. 535 cc stock Enfield engine souped up to 654 cc by lengthening the stroke (110mm) and increasing the bore (87mm).
16. Custom modified crank shaft and connecting rod
17. Low friction, high compression piston sourced from Honda CRV SUV
18. Large CV carb
19. Aissin AMR 500 super charger custom made plumbing and fitment
20. Reworked lubrication system, now sporting an oil cooler and heavy duty oil pump
21. Custom made heavy duty electrical starter motor housing and installation
22. Custom made twin spark digital ignition system to replace the stock points system
23. Stock 5 speed Royal Enfield gear box
24. Custom made gear shift mechanism. Gear shift on the left and braking system, on the right side.
25. Custom made free flow exhaust system
26. Custom made wiring harness to accommodate high voltage twin spark, powerful lights and loud horns
27. 12 V, 18 amph sealed Exide battery

Others
28. Custom made, billet aluminium Cyclops twin headlight
29. Custom made rear LED tail light
30. LED turn signals
31. Custom made digital speedometer with integrated trip meter recessed into the fuel tank
32. Custom made digital display for Neutral indicator, high beam, low beam, turn signal- recessed into the fuel tank

The motorbike got finished just two days before Rider Mania, and we are currently running it in. The supercharger has been set up to generate not more than 5-6 psi of boost. As of now, I have restricted the carb as otherwise I find it difficult to 'take it easy' during the running in period. Once i have over 500-600 kms on the clock, we shall start gunning it. I have already ordered the FCR41 flat slide carb with push pull throttle assembly for the bike. Will swap it with the 'small unit' we are currently using. Can't wait to see how much power this baby makes when in full flow.

The bike is currently enroute to Mumbai from Manesar, and should be here by the weekend. I will post some more pics with close ups of the engine and the supercharger drive next week along with some video's as well.

Once the bike is in Mumbai, I plan to change the headlight, replicate the design airbrushed on the tank on the rear and front fenders, program that Phitsela Radon digital speedometer unit and get a bigger carb with push pull throttle...and thats it, the baby is complete and ready to fly

Now that the Prostreet 700 is finally coming home to keep my Ducati Diavel company, my garage is complete...(for now)

Cheers

Vivek

My first reaction to the its wheel spinning the rear 200 section Tyre. Was that's pure BS. Did you just go looking for the smallest Turbo and hope it would work.to spin up a 200 section rear on tarmac you need to be making in excess off 120 BHP. Ask me how I know lol.
And to define a spin up. Its Bike / car allready moving. Then you floor it and light up the tyres. Not something you do with a clutch.
Just had to just sit back and wait for you to say it.
Wise move removing the Turbo. A Draw thru is the worst setup you can imagine. Even with a perfectly matched Turbo.

When somebody said youd ride the bike to RM I was like Ill eat my chudies if that bike can even reach Pune. Again you said it first. Thanks for at least being honest. Heat is a big issue on a bullet. Forget FI. A well setup engine with head mods and a cam can over heat.

Sorry to disappoint you but the super Charger isnt going to work either.
save your self a lot of heart burn and money down the drain. by just focusing
in getting the bike to run right.

Now the good stuff.
Your tooner seems to be a genius when it comes to cosmetics.
I have meet the best minds around the world. And trust me when I tell you that you cant have an expert in cosmetics and an expert on engines. There are very few people like that. The late Burt Munro and Britten being the only two names that pop up. As a customer its your job to identify his strengths and weaknesses and make the best of what he has to offer.

So cut the guy some slack and just plonk a V-Max engine into it.
Ive tuned a few Maxes on the Dyno. 125 BHP is possible with an old motor. If tuned really really well. Forget the 200 BS half the stuff you read on the net is BS.

When you figure the SC isnt going to work. Remember I have first dibs on it when you go to sell it.
I have an engine that can use it.

My own bullet is being molded from stage 1 to stage 4.
turbo and SC on the way. All top secret. if you try and copy what others have done on the net. you can be assured to fail. i.e. your picking the AMR500 because somebody in the UK has used it. Do you have the compressor map for it ? Know how much air it displaces ?. Know what gearing your going to have to run ?

Take this post in the right spirit. Id like to see you enjoying the bike not breaking your head on something that isnt going to work.
And like everybody else has said. Hats off to you and your builder.
That is a work of art.
Yo Chinoy, the bike is ready, with the super charger set up all complete and working like a charm. In fact, we rode the bike down from Chandigarh to Rider Mania 2012 at Manesar, where it too the first prize in the Custom Bike competition. Chandigarh to Manesar is 300kms, over twice of the Mumbai Pune distance. So will we get to see a video of smart alec Chinoy eating his chuddies!!

Jokes apart, Check out the new thread i have started: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...eet-700-a.html

Not to buddy, but it seems you will not be getting the SC unit from me, coz the Prostreet 700 is gonna use it every day. I guess now that when the names of Burt Munro and Britten pop up in your mind, so will the name 'Ranjit Randhawa', the creator of the worlds first super charged Royal Enfield.

That said, we would be more than happy to share with you how we went about pulling this off. If you get off your high horse and ask politely.

Peace.

Excellent work, the bike looks awesome and except for the engine embossing there is no way one can make out its RE under the skin. The pictures link (The Facebook one) does not work, but one can see the bike on the previous Team BHP thread, albeit its older pictures.

Please post more recent pictures of the bike on this thread.

Thats a beauty . This is one of the very few good looking fully customized RE i have seen. Excellent work done in putting all performance features for RE.
But why the gear shifter moved to left side? Any particular reason for this?

Yes, we shifted the gears to the left to make it easier to ride....rear brake on the left and front brakes on the right is just nonsense to remember...which is why no other modern motorcycle in the world runs the set up Enfield did till a few years ago.

RTO guys did trouble initially, but we figured a way out within a framework of the law...
