How much for a 2003 R1

I am planning to go for a Yamaha R1 2003, Need some info about the cost. How much it would cost if its a brand new and 0kms on it. and how much it would be if its run around 2K.

PS:(i cannot afford 04-05)

I have seen people getting a brand new 03 R1's one of my friend got it 2months back.

A brand new R1 should cost you in the region of 6.5 to 7.5 Lacs - All inclusive with clear paperwork. A word of caution - Please ascertain that the person you deal with knows his stuff and is genuine. In the light of recent customs rackets, if there is any duty pending...it will be you who is liable to pay the amount.

make that around 8.5 to 12 lakhs depending on the duty paid for a 2005 brand new bike. maybe nitrous or s600benz can throw more light on the same.

ya a 05 R1 retails here for 9.75 lakhs with all the paper work done..but the bike is registered in the RC book as 03 though..wonder why?? well this bike is my friends or was(i mean the friend,had a fight and so no more contact)..

I always wanted to buy a liter bike but as you guys suggested me to go for a 400 or 600 in the beginning i ought for the 600. Now i have graduated enough to have a liter bike.

I know the importer very well and all my friends get bikes from him, so he is getting me Brand new 0K 2003 R1. Any day, i have the choice to say "i dont want THIS bike" if its not the brand new. So guys please let me know how much should i pay for a brand new.

Brand new 03 manufactured 0km done with registration and clear paperwork should set up back by approx 8.00-8.25 laks on road Banglore with no addtional hidden cost.

Ps : Older models abroad have such great discounts that they are available for less than brand new latest 600-750 cc models.
