Dear TBHPians,

Below are the pics of a 1996 Roadking that I bought a few months back, which is now almost restored except battery, monograms on side panel and mirrors. I am also planning to have a sissy bar fixed. Comments welcome...:thumbs up

Beauty. An extremly clean bike I must say. Congratulations on this wonderful purchase.

PS. If you know of anymore on sale pls let me know would really be intrested for a RK.

Fumbling for words; I mean, left speechless by the look of the bike & amazing restoration; I'm sure it will make heads turn at all the places you ride.

Questions - what kind of sissy bars are you planning? Like long one with small foam or short one with short foam types? Or are you planning Avenger's sissy? IMO, pls don't put the sissy bar, a classic should remain just a classic; I love the classic Yezdi's carrier; the one comes kinda M with carrier.

Wonderful restoration.Happy Riding.

Awesome :thumbs up. Was the restoration done in Mangalore itself ? Can you give feedback on the Rear spring shocks.

Hi Sudhir,
I had to edit this thread, all the way while i was writing i was thinking i have seen this handle and at last i remembered.
So you managed to get the rear shocks. What's the damage to your pocket in total ?

What a bike man!:thumbs up Congratulations. Enjoy the raw power of this beautifully restored Yezdi Roadking.

your bike looks lovely, Sudhir! Will drop in this weekend to check it out in person.

@ All, here are a few pics of one of Sudhir's RD's that was restored about 2 months ago. A few parts were not yet fixed when these pics were taken. its a Stock 86 LT with a RDD cdi.
Stay tuned for pics of his other bikes!! clap:

Before.(pulled out of the ground in his compound.. quite literally:D)

Thanks folks for your kind words!

@argee - I was thinking about a short one with a short foam type. Mainly because my 9 yr daughter will be the pillion rider (She enjoys motorcycles you see! She especially adores my RD). Let me put this on hold for the moment and explore further options

@rahulraa - where are you located? I bought this one from Bangalore.

@Hillram and Gaddiwale - thank you

@rk_sans - complete restoration was done in Mangalore by a veteran mechanic of Jawa/ Yezdi. And no, I did not get a the rear shocks - mech got it "reconditioned". lol: About the damage to the pocket, it is still in progress. However I am very happy, given the outcome. Will PM you. BTW thanks for your advice and offer to help. Much appreciated.

@James - I was scratching my head on the RD pics cos I hadnt clicked any, except on the vintage rally day. Thanks for becoming the savior here as well! clap:
Folks, James is the guy who has been restoring my RD350 and has done a wonderful job on that. A BIG thanks to him, the monster is back on the road.

@sudhirbhan - so you'll need to attach first a pair of side plates & then get the sissy bar mounted. Ensure you have good flat chromed metal as side plates that gives a good looking (to begin with, check out HD's website w.r.t customization & it gives good idea). Though not my personal favourite, you can settle with Avenger's rears that will require less work than customisation.

Wow an amazing job done there.
Sudhir when can i see it and possibly get a ride too :D

Where in mng do you stay?

Wow nice bike Sudhir, reminds me of my uncles bike when it was brand new:)

i would prefer the headlight without the grill...and i guess on the side shield the "black beauty" monogram is missing?

btw James, lovely RD man, like the rear tyre should have gone for it...

Sudhir, I had a feeling you forgot to take pics apart from the rally ones. :D

Lohith, This is the same tyre i was telling you to go for. its got amazing grip but at the expense of tread life. My RD has the same tyre combo! I liked em so much that i put them on every bike i get!

Yes sir, that will be fixed within the next few days. Drop by when you have some time. I need to hand over the meet pics also to you.

@argee, thanks for the pointers. Lets see what best can I conjure up, while balancing utility and looks.

@James, lets try to meet up either on Saturday or coming Monday.

@Kraft.wagen, now that you are back in Mangalore, drop by during one of these weekends

Excellent resoration. Hats off to the mechanic.Simply superb. :thumbs up
I am in Bangalore please gimme some contacts to buy a running one as I do not want to spend a lot of time in restoring an old one.

I am lost for words looking at the restored Yezdi. I am fan of Yezdi bike. Looking at the restored bike, I repent now as to why did I sell the Yezdi Classic 250, which I had many years back.
Anybody knows anyone selling RD 350 ? I would love to lay my hands on it.
