Yep! A one dayer. We could leave by 5 or earlier if you wish and be back by 5 or 6 pm I presume.

Sounds like a plan. I'll let you know soon then, chief. Not confirming right away because of reasons known to you as well.

Been to Yercaud a couple of times, Awesome roads till Salem and then lovely twisties till yercaud. I kinda agree with goandude, deserves a day to sit in one of the resorts, chill, talk, have some pepsi/coke and get back the next day.

A Sunday morning well spent.

Our destination was Mahadevpura which is near Mandya (not Hebbal ).

You take a right at Mandya, ride through villages and cow-dung to reach this tiny little hamlet on the other side of the Cauvery river. The ride was the usual annoying-speedbreakers-laced till Mandya after which the roads became better, traffic lesser and the heat unbearable.

On a retrospective note, we should have started way earlier, as we were finally able to group and ride at around 6AM. A 5AM start would have been feasible, as well as a lot more 'cooler'.

Our lads Chidi and Sojogator found bliss in munching on burgers and soft drinks at 7 in the morning at McD, while I settled for water mixed with coffee powder.

Took the same route back, and my predictions about Interceptors on Mysore Road were spot on. Saved the Z800 twice, using the usual signals. Very impressed by the motorcycle, though. Sojo has made a fine choice there.

Attaching a few pictures.

1. The Cauvery looking way too quiet. Bangalore bandh effect?

2. Posing away to glory.

3. A lot of patience was required to get an empty bridge. It paid off.

Haha! The food was good though.

And Yeah. Cow dung. Fearless dogs. Crouching cyclists. Chain Lubing at MacD. Marauding buses and trucks that shook the world. Umpteen humps. Litres of sweat. Scorching sun. Coconut groves. Numerous photo attempts. Some lovely curvy roads. Brilliant Co riders. Awesome fun.

1k kms done!

Btw, we took a left after Mandya

I think I spotted you guys; somewhere between Maddur-Mandya..around 8ish, I guess. I was on my way to Bangalore to attend the FCB meet. I saw a 390 and a Z riding together on the opposite lane ( toward Mysore ). Must've been you.

Indeed. I remember the expressions of people when 3 geared up riders were having a harrowing time lubing both the bikes.

I'm hurt that you doubted me whether I could lift the Z800 up or not.

Left, yes. Pardon me!

Yes. That was us. We rode together at all times. With the kind of traffic we saw, I knew bhpians would spot us. Saw two LTD stickered cars as well.

Could you expand FCB?

I was on a black 390 with Fazer visor.

FCB= Fiat 1100 Club Bangalore. There's a thread on TBHP too.

I see. Gutted to have missed it. Was eager to check out the visor assembly.

That's nice. Have you checked out the Fiat Cafe here in Bangalore?

Thanks, mate. Rasta sure was pretty crowded today.

Always a next time!

He he he.. I guess you missed the 'last chance'.
It'll be replaced soon with the MRA replica. I finally collected it today.

Not an issue. Looking forward to the MRA ones.

Indeed it has. The ambience has vastly improved. Prices have become super affordable and unbelievable too. Do check it out on your next trip.
