I got a Electra UCE on April 30th, been glad since, Done 4800Kms.

PDI for:

Scratches, bent handlebar, petrol leak near the cover (Fault rubber padding), body parts shaking, tires revolving smoothly, brakes, oil levels, complimentary petrol, electrical, tools, so on...

Pros:

The Best comfortable seating, with negligible, even after 600Kms riding.
Relaxed shoulder position (Unlike on the Classic models)
Less pros does not mean it is bad.

Cons:
Meek horn
No Zapper tires
Near nil silencer beat (Change to OE short bottle neck silencer or Rocket silencer, now sold in RE service centres)
Light (35W) against 60W (Classics)
Mirrors are a blur when revving at 90 (A waste)
No rear back rest for pillion for pillion (Unlike Thunderbird)
Check for starter motor leak (Left side engine)

Congratulations on choosing the Electra, you will never regret it!!!! Cheers!!!

Every 2K kms? Is not the recommended interval for every 3K?

Thanks a lot vhharan, that's quite a comprehensive list!

Actually, I wanted to go in for the Classic, but due to its long waiting period (and the bookings being closed now), I chose the Electra.

Can the 60W bulb which comes with the Classic be retrofitted in the UCE Electra? If not what all changes would be required?

The Classic 60W bulb is a 3 pin socket type, whereas the Electra UCE is two pin socket, you can find same power halogen bulbs for two pin sockets!

Default Things to add to the PDI ... Electra TS

Congrats ! How did it go? Was this from an RE Brand store, or a dealer?

I got an Electra TS 2 weeks ago, and it was in the workshop in a week for a faulty relay starter...

Things to add to the PDI:
1. check out the electric starter well , and on a cold start as well . I had problems for a week with a hot/cold start. Later on, they replaced they relay starter, and these vanished.

2. Rust on the chassis number / hinge joining rear shocks to the top of the frame . Check if there is paint missing , or abrasions.

Did you find the "false neutrals" yet?

Yes you can without any modifications. You can also replace the holder to H4 type and the from glass dome to Autopal\Hella 7" p43t or p45t type.

Thank you, Madhkris. I see that you have a Bullet, any special suggestions?

Thank you, Tarun.
It was from the RE brand Store, Jayanagar, Bangalore.

Seems you are not alone!
All Electras probably are going through the same defects, which means the QC is slack in those departments.

That's pretty bad, hardly what we expect from a brand new bike

I had a problem with the electric starter too, before delivery. Turned out to be the choke which could not be pulled out fully as it was fouling up with the fuel tap.

Ultimately, the petrol tank was replaced and the issue solved.

Ditto here!
RE is obsessed with rust, rust and more rust!

I seem to find false neutrals between every gear!
The gear box needs some time getting used to.

Just wish that you had replied earlier before taking the delivery.
Would have made the process easier.

Also had problem with the one of the pilot lamp.

Thanks you trtraj, I really am loving every moment with the bullet.
I will be posting the pictures with a review shortly.

Hope you get your TBTS soon, I heard that the waiting period has increased to 4 months for the Electra and TBTS now.
Keep following up the order.
