Team-BHP - New help installing 50's hubs on RE Bullet

I have a 97 500 RE that I want to retrofit with the old style 50's hubs/wheels. Does anyone have a diagram/manuals that can aid me with this? I'm having a hard time finding the parts needed for the swap and how to install. Thanks

there is no rocket science involved. you have to get all the parts and just give them to the rim builder he will do the job for you

The "parts needed" would be just the front and rear hubs and brake setup right? Are the spoke lengths different too, as compared to the ones used with the newer hubs? Would all this fit on the regular rim, or is the older rim of different specs too?

VOODOOCHILD jee the spokes are longer and yes the fit fine on the regular rims. though the Brakeing is not good at all. the only purpose that i have seen that is solved by them hubs is the visual treat of the bike looking vintage

Yeah, the braking is abysmal with those hubs.
There's an early-70s Bullet slowly rotting in my neighbourhood, which has these hubs, all original metal control levers, and with the box-type front and rear mudguards. Is there a particular year this exact configuration was first introduced? I was initially of the opinion that the narrow hubs were fitted only on the 60s model with the round mudguards. This motorcycle seems pretty original and untouched, wondering whether to try my luck.

the old type hubs are very poor in braking.
my bullets front brake is :Frustrati.
so try to source new hubs if possible.

EDIT : just buy hubs & appropriate spokes (the length is different for each side). the rim is same for old & new ones.

The hub: I think as far as the front drums go, there were basically two hub designs right? I had the older ones initially and let me tell you, the braking was abysmally poor and far from confidence-inspiring, it was fear-inducing to say the least. I shifted to the newer hubs and the braking was much better.

as i said in my earlier post , the front brake is like nothing.
my bull is not my daily drive & looks factor is grater than the practicality one, the poor front brake is ok for me.;)

at LOGS - if your bull will be a daily drive or will be used for long journeys then go for newer hubs or discs up front.

80's bull with following mods
62 type mudguards,
some brass itams,
machismo side boxes,
new classic tank,
single seat.
