Default Tech Issue: Decarb CatCon RXZ Silencer

Hi all,

I wanted to know how the CatCon RXZ silencer is Decoked ...

I have seen 3 screws at the rear of the silencer ... I think opening that should do the trick.

Are there any specific tips on how to decoke it without damaging the silencer.

Thnx in advance.

I am surprised there are no replies on this important Post

The Chrome RX 100 / RX 135 4 Speed silencers are easier to decarb.

For the CatCons, I have heard different reviews from different people.

Few say that it cant be done efficiently, You will have to cut the silencer into two parts. Since there are filters inside the silencer, this exercise will also change the original silencer Beat.

And there are others who say , its possible without any harmful effects.

Can we have user experiences / suggestions on this please ??

Finally figured it out myself.

Filled kerosene in the silencer (2 Ltrs) tied plastic bags at both ends and rocked the silencer from side to side for 1 hour.

Drained the kerosene, and did a pressure wash.

That fixed it.
