@Leepower - I have quite a few friends who have a C-500 with a Goldie in them. I don't think a Goldstar requires any upjetting with a regular Machismo 500 as well. Upjetting is usually suggested when you go in for a K & N or a UNI free flow filters. In my Mach, I have done the same, to offset the K&N.
If you are thinking of putting a Goldie on a C-500, just go ahead without any upjetting etc. It gives a brilliant performance and crisp thump as well.

Hello there! I am doing my homework on silencers right now and I am keen on fitting a tuned length silencer on a Machismo 500 (it belongs to a friend but i am the Techie :P) Does anyone have the specification for it?
I have the specifications for avl 350.

Looks good. Just be sure of the gauge of the metal. Also, try finding a few documents which can let you know the right amount of Glass wool that needs to be fitted in a Goldstar.

Hi Nasirkaka

Finally we have launched what you suggested long time back.
Glasswool Goldstar by Sans Inc.

Hey mate, Now that you are manufacturing and supplying the goldies, how about introducing one with the glass wool option also. Would be nice to give customers the option of choosing between the glasswool type and the conicle baffle type. I do understand that making the galsswool type may be a bit more complicated, but you could price at accordingly.

As you rightly said that most of the bull owners are looking at a quick-fix solution to a louder thump and the range which u have suits them best. But being in the business of silencers, i am sure you do understand the difference in the thump from a glass-wool. I have experienced both of them, and a conical baffle would never absorb the high-frequency sound waves, as well as glass-wool would.
If possible, please introduce glasswool type silencers as well in your product range, and i am sure there would be a lot of takers for it.

Also, i read somewhere that there is a formula to calculate the diameter of the end tube and this would differ for various engine capacity. Therefore, a goldie made for 350cc engine may not suit 500cc engine. I am not sure, but if you could do some research on this, and introduce appropriate silencers for 350 and 500, it would be great.

Thanks.

The offroader exhaust supplied by RE is a great marketing gimmick. It says that teh performance will increase but there are no dyno charts to prove that.
Also the internal grills break after an year or so .So thing before investing.
I have got this feedback frm one of our buyers in UAE.

The glasswool Goldstar will give u a bassy thump with an increase in pick up.
You can check the video here.

Are you talking about the stock RE classic 500 silencer or the RE accessory up swept silencer, and what is the difference between the standard goldstar vs glasswool goldstar silencer

I am talking about the upswept offroader exhaust and not stock long exhaust.

The main diff between a Goldstar with Conical baffles and Goldstar with glasswool is in the thump and Internal build structure.

Conical baffles are closed ended and have a treble in thump.
Glasswool is open ended and have bass in thump.

Question:
Does the "Conical baffled" Gold star reduce the fuel efficiency of say a classic 500?

Goldstar with Conical baffles will not affect mileage at any cost as its not a free flow exhaust.

Looks nice.

Is the detailing at the tail pipe to better grip the rubber end?
i was having too many issues with my bike w.r.t idling, jerks, cold starts, so had switched back to the oem bazooka after i got a new injector.

Hey, let me know if any bhpian is using your glasswool goldie here in bangalore. would love to hear it in person.
