I agree with desi dybuk. I have the silver color and when viewed from a distance you can't see scratches easily.

Thanks in advance for your support.

I have done 47 k now & my car will be completing three years after three months. Maintenance cost & sales support are not matters to worry over at all, not even the resale value after launch of new City. 10k service costs about 5-6 k & the car has been extremely reliable so far, except few minor initial glitches like rear sensor & relay issue of the my car, all taken care of within warranty.

So, if you like the car, go for it. All the best.

I have just booked Carbon Grey "stardust" Verna. By seeing previous posts, thinking of changing the colour now. Any carbon grey Verna owners can comment on how the car will look after a months use and will it be okay if i go for it?

Hey varunnahar congrats on your booking and wishing you a trouble-free ownership.

I can pitch in here for your question since my bro owns an I-gen I20 in the same shade. It is quite easy to maintain compared to a darker shade like a Black or Wine (Maroon). The dust and dirt is not very visible from far and as long as you use something like a Jopasu duster, your car will look gleaming.

On the other hand, if you are looking at after market visual enhancements, this shade may probably not be the sportiest of the colours.

Hi All,

I have Verna in white color. till now no issues cleaning is concerned. I felt verna always looked elegant in white hence chose this color.

I dont think so this car comes with auto wiper. It rained on sunday in bangalore. i had to manually switch it on.

I was in the same delima when i bought mine. I had initially booked carbon grey. But then after some days, I saw a badly kept carbon grey one and i thought of sticking to white.

My main concern was, if a repaint is needed on any part, these kind of shades are a little tricky as far as paint matching is concerned.

Also, personally I feel grey would have been a little easier to clean, specially because i want to keep my car squeaky clean. On white, even smallest spots or tar marks stand out.

My 2 cents. But in the end, it really depends on how well you want to keep your car, sometimes safest shades can also be a pain.

Choosing the colour is getting really confusing now. After a lot of thought I came close to finalize white colour. verna does really look elegant in white. But i have seen some sparkling whites and some soiled white ones. It is adding to the confusion. But anyway I am going to own it only for max 4 years. So i think I should go for white colour.

There are so many White Verna's on the road, including mine!

White gets dirty very easily - even though my car is cleaned every day. Silver looks good and also doesn't show dirt as easily.

Be different and go for Silver...if I were to buy again now, that's what I would choose.

Thanks Fusion 2006. Silver was my initial choice. Only drawback I found that it was little bit dull. May be the cars which I saw was not maintained properly.

May be it's just me; I think that Silver and it's shades are really easy to maintain. They make Dust/ Dirt/ Scratches/ Dents less obvious. We've Brown, Silver and White cars at home and Silver is the one that needs minimal washing.

I agree with you that the Silver is a bit dull.

I had booked the New City diesel on 30th May and was promised a delivery in July. Now am told there is a delay due to some plant shifting. Seriously thinking of canceling and shifting to Verna Diesel. Have been using SX4 petrol for past 4 years. Have some questions :
1) How does the new Verna handle on the highway, earlier had read that it rides like a "boat". Is this still true?
2) How is the GC now?

My monthly drive is 1500kms with 50% on highway and otherwise not so good roads in small town. So would appreciate feedback from 2014 Verna owners.

The new Verna handles better than the outgoing model but still it isn't confidence inspiring. No way near fiesta or rapid. Above 100 Kmph it still lacks the stability.

As for as GC has improved and it doesn't scrap the road or bumps.

You should try the new fiesta as it is a really vfm and build Quality is also good.

We have used the Fork Ikon in the past, a very good car indeed. But we have not used Hyundai or Honda till date, so were thinking of these.

Guess it is better to wait for the City. I assume it is better in ride and handling compared to 2014 Verna.

Compared to verna the new City is definitely better but the only problem is with the gearbox and engine. The engine is not powerful enough and is slowest in the segment. The engine is grousy and clatter is very much evident at any speed inside the cabin. Verna is a benchmark on this front. The only pros are the you get good mileage in the end.
The germans vento and rapid may be simply styled but if you love to drive are aggressive and mean machines that just boost confidence and there is smile every time you push the car around the corners especially the rapid

Hi Everyone

I am planning to book the Verna SX 1.6 Petrol or Ecosport 1.5 Titanium Petrol.
Could you please help with the below queries
1. Advaith Hyundai claims that the highway handling of the car has improved in 2014 version. Is this true? Any one with 2014 Verna can you confirm?
2. They also claim the suspension issue are totally resolved. Is this true?
3. They claim a mileage of 12 km in Bangalore city traffic. Is this true as well?

Please help. I am planning to book by this week and your advice would be of great help.

If you can spare some time - you can read more about my dilemma in selecting my next car in the thread - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/sedans...ml#post3477414 (Ford Ecosport 1.5 P Titanium or Hyundai Verna 1.6 SX Petrol)

Any advice will be highly appreciated.
