Hey sure. I will send you a private message. I have been told that 4th and 5th year warranty is offered during the 3rd year run. But the Hyundai website says there is no 5th year extended warranty available for Verna diesel. Also, we missed the option for taking 3rd and 4th year extended warranty on a single go ( I did not know about it until i referred to the below link ). Please refer to this link, it has clear details of what are the warranty offers available, the cost break and components covered. The 4th year warranty for MT is 12694 and AT is 14375

I am disappointed that Verna diesel AT & MT doesn't have 5th year warranty.

If i may answer, Advaith has a wide sales network in Bangalore and they can help with faster vehicle delivery based on the availability. Usually for MT they promise the delivery in 10 days and 15 days for AT. However, i got my AT last month within 10 days of my booking.

Thanks for the info. They are sourcing mine via Mysore (1.6 crdi sx mt) for some reason.

Huh. This is really bad. I have been following up for a month regarding 4th year extended warranty and now I understand why they were reluctant. So basically, if I had bought 3rd and 4th year together - it costs 18k and if I bought it seperately it costs me 21k+. So they can make a cool 3k just by delaying the info. This is nonsense. Not appreciated at all.

I am going to call up Advaith Hyundai customer care and blast them up. Worst problem is I cannot even delay the purchase of 4th year warranty for 2 more years. The reason being the cost might increase at that point and current prices at that time will prevail. This is bad Advaith. Not happy at all.

They like us coming back to them for the 4th year because they get the dealer commission from Hyundai.

2 ways of looking at this - Either the 4th year insurance cost might shot up with the time or Hyundai might come up with better insurance scheme to match the competitive auto mobile market. Even if it increases, it should be a couple of thousand bucks.

Just heard back from my SA after I clearly mentioned I am not ok with wasting my money. He said they bill the 3rd year warranty only after 7 days of registration - so I still have time. I have told him, I will transfer the amount today and he can bill me for the 3rd and 4th year warranty. But just found out that the 3rd and 4th yr costs 19k+ as dealer price is higher than Hyundai cost

Awesome Arvind. You owe me a coffee

I got my 3rd year warranty certificate 4 days ago, i wish i have checked this info on-line before hand. May be you could have called hyundai call centre and checked if they can help you buy one directly.

I sure do . But you also got me confused now - should I buy 4th year warranty now or wait for better terms on warranty? What would you think I should do?

And about buying from Hyundai directly - I dont think it would work especially since I have already paid the amount for 3rd year warranty to Advaith. There is no way they are going to refund that.

Now that you still have an option, I would suggest you to buy 3rd and 4th together and i would have done it if i were you.

If at all Hyundai comes up with 5th year warranty plan for Verna diesel, you can always buy it additionally, its just that you might additionally shell out a couple of thousand bucks. Think about it.....

Still getting a boat like feel on my new Verna petrol while driving 120+ on Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Did they really fix handling issues for 2014 versions?

Hi All

On my 2014 Fluidic Verna CRDi SX - I noticed that the brightness of the speedometer cluster reduces when I switch on the head lights. I just want to make sure this is as per design and not due to a weak battery. I understand this makes sense as a feature - but wanted to be sure. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yep, this is the feature and you can control how much brightness is reduced using the rheostat control under the steering on right side.
Is it not there in 2014 sx?

Thanks. Nope - the 2014 verna SX does not have brightness control. I believe that is a SX(o) only feature.

I got my 3rd & 4th year extended warranty from Advaith Rajajinagar without much hassle. When asked for extended warranty schemes, my service guy clearly brought out a sheet showing the cost for 3rd, 4th and 3rd & 4th combined.

I wish there was a 5th year extended warranty option available for Fluidic Verna. Hyundai's parts are quite expensive & I feel better to have the warranty cover to soothe my mind.

Arvind, it's a feature to stop the instrument cluster from blinding you during night when you have headlights on.

But you can control how bright (or dim) you want the cluster to be when the headlight is switched on. There's a roller switch on your dashboard (right of steering wheel) which controls this brightness.

I think you are mistaken. This is present in all variants (at least was in all 2013 variants). It's the roller switch right next to the headlamp height control switch (right of your steering wheel)

With all due respect, the rheostat control was only available in SX and above trims till 2013. Not sure about 2014 models.

Basically, the models which have the feature called "Supervision Cluster" will have the rheostat control. Does the 2014 SX variant not have supervision cluster?

Edit; Just noticed that supervision cluster is only available in SX(O) now. ANother cost cutting from Hyundai.

Any suggestions ?
I have a 2011 VTVT Verna. I, and a number of others got the springs replaced under warranty & it has made a sea change in rideability. The earlier monstrous humps of Bnagalore are handled better by my Verna.

Try it first & see if it works for you.
