The text in the attached image conveys "For those who have preregistered, it will be possible to book the fiesta on 10th itself and that they are a part of a exclusive group with priority over the general public" official bookings? Maybe the dealers will be more than willing to give a test drive before 14th.

I agree the NFS has a lot lacking. But on the whole, it a fairly good package. I had to see what features I wanted and what I did not. However, my present requirements are purely a reliable, fuel efficient car.

A lot of factors were considered before making this decision. Will update soon

What are these cars doing at sector-22 in Chandigarh? I used to stay at the hotel en route to Manali. Now don't anymore. The breakfast menu has lost its quality and kids complained.

FMC seems to be biased towards the blue colour.

If you go to the first page of this thread, you'll find a pic of the rear seat footwell posted by Rehaan in his wonderful review. It seems from the pic that the hump is not so big... hardly 2-3 inches

Even I was put off by the massive hump in Vento which ultimately proved to be a dealbreaker point for me.

Thank you for sharing.

I can't stand beside that boot. Ugly in my POV.

Any news on New Fiesta Hatch launch? That will be a true looker and with right specification a true sports hatch.

Cheers!

I think Ford’s strategy is to play the surprise game throughout the launch exercise of New Fiesta – both positive and negative surprises. Here are some:
  • Initial launch event –show the car to public, and let people know – I am coming.
  • Guessing games on the engine and trim levels
  • Surprised again with the India specific 1.5 litres
  • The media introduction was with the (then top-spec) Titanium version, and here comes the Titanium+
So far so good. Hope the pricing will be a pleasant surprise!

Ford has been hugely successful in keeping prospective C segment buys waiting since march 2011 by selective news update on the car and its launch and actual launch date. if the prices are not attractive, the wait of many would go in vain.

I got a call from Ford Chennai, inviting me to the nearest dealer for a SPECIAL launch, on 10 Jul. other info from the call...
1. the other launch along with price details would be out on 14 jul.
2. Booking has started with Rs 50000/-. When I asked if it was refundable, ie. if i book the car, but finally donot like the car or the price, there was no concrete answer.
3. also, test drives would be available only after 14th Jul and not 10 Jul.

Saw the car in flesh yesterday at Oberoi Mall, Mumbai. It looks hideous especially from the rear. Looks like the Ford designers were totally confused. The dash and speedo/rpm meters looked pretty tacky as well. I prefer the Verna over this any days.

Any possibility of a more powerful (even slightly more powerful will do) 'S' version?
This 1.5 petrol has been collectively criticized by the reviewer community as being lackluster and dull on performance.
